Junya Ito is involved again as he chips it through to Paul Onuachu. He chests it past Craig Dawson on the first touch. Dawson wants his keeper to collect but he's scrambling to get there and they concede a corner.

The set-piece delivery is eventually gathered in by Alphonse Areola.

Ben Johnson pulls it back from the rightand Jarrod Bowen completely misses the ball from close range, in an unmarked position!

The hosts have lifted the intensity slightly.

Tomas Soucek gets away down the right after a nice one-two with Jarrod Bowen but his cross fizzes past the six-yard area.

Nikola Vlasic was the only player in the box and he had hung back.

Declan Rice's cross is met well by the head of Tomas Soucek and he forces a smart save from the Genk keeper, who has to claw it away to his right.

The best chance of the game for West Ham so far.

Issa Diop plays Theo Bongonda onside. He's slipped in on the left, chips it into the middle and Paul Onuachu is stretching as he nods it over the bar.

West Ham are not picking up these runs and look pretty sluggish in defence. Genk have been the more dangerous side!

Manuel Lanzini floats a teasing ball in from the right byline but it won't quite reach Nikola Vlasic.

Ben Johnson tries to inject some pace down the right, knocking it past two defenders and giving chase, but Theo Bongonda tracks back to make the tackle.

Genk are playing some nice stuff when they get the ball.

It's a lovely ball over the top for Theo Bongonda from the Genk keeper.

Bongonda has made an excellent run in behind and he's only denied by a sharp Alphonse Areola, who comes charging out of his box to make a last-ditch tackle.

Aaron's Cresswell's cross is put out for a corner by Angelo Preciado but the set-piece is headed away.

Genk have the ball back a few moments later and will knock it about at the back.

Nobody on the end of it!

Nikola Vlasic cuts onto his right foot and curls a dangerous ball in from the left but both West Ham players in the box drop back.

It flies harmlessly wide of the far post.

Ooft. West Ham get lucky!

Junya Ito is played in behind on the right. It's cut back into the middle, Craig Dawson can't clear it properly at the back post and the loose ball is nodded into an empty net by Theo Bongonda.

It won't count though - Ito was just offside. A quick VAR check confirms it.

Tomas Soucek pings it over to Ben Johnson on the right. He tries to cushion it into the path of Andriy Yarmolenko but he skews it.

A slow start but the London Stadium is in good voice. It's a pretty strong West Ham team out there.

They can go six points clear at the top of the table tonight with a win. It's definitely worth giving it a real go!

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to BT Sport: "It was a tough match against a good team. There were some moments where we did well but we learned some details.

"In attack we could do more and we should finish the actions. We had good situations to be better.

"The goal came from a foul which I think can be discussed, but there should be more cover at the edge of the box.

"The Europa Conference League is like this, there are always tough moments. We have got two home games which I truly believe can help us solve the group.

"We have players who work hard and deserves matches. The Conference League is a chance for them to get minutes."

Jarrod Bowen takes it himself but it bounces off the shin of Declan Rice in the box.

Andriy Yarmolenko keeps it alive on the right but passes it straight to the centre-back.

Jarrod Bowen is bundled over clumsily by Jhon Lucumi right on the touchline.

Bowen isn't too pleased about it. West Ham have got the free-kick at least.
