Saïd Benrahma is involved straight away but his curling effort inside the box is blocked.

Ryan Fredericks is then picked out on the left but his cross his headed away.

More good news for West Ham too as Genk's best player Junya Ito has been hooked, presumably to save him for the league game on the weekend. Kristian Thorstvedt is also off.

A dangerous break from Genk... It's three-on-two and Junya Ito is completely free on the right.

Instead they opt to go left and when it eventually comes to Ito in the box, he's got two players on him.

Junya Ito turns in the box and shoots but it's an excellent block from Issa Diop!

Mark Noble concedes a corner but it's comfortable for Alphonse Areola.

Genk are enjoying a spell on the ball now but West Ham are happy to let them have it.

Junya Ito has time and space out on the right. He waits for Ike Ugbo to make the run and picks him out with a curling cross.

Craig Dawson does just enough to put Ugbo off and his diving header is wide at the near post.

West Ham are so comfortable now. They are toying with possession a little. The home fans are enjoying it.

He should score but he scuffs it and he has his hands on his head as West Ham get it clear.

Nikola Vlasic spins away but is heading to the corner when Angelo Preciado needlessly hooks his legs from behind.
