Great feet from Nicolo Zaniolo out on the right. He throws in a couple of stepovers and wins another corner for his side.

In it comes from Sergio Oliveira, with Bryan Cristante flicking it on but it hits Cyriel Dessers and Feyenoord hack it to safety.

That moved a bit. Feyenoord's Orkun Kokcu has a dig from distance that Rui Patricio just about grabs at the second attempt.

The strike from the Turkey international was swerving all over the place there.

Is this a chance for Feyenoord? Cyriel Dessers gets in down the right but Chris Smalling is over to snuff out the danger and shepherd the ball back to his goalkeeper.

The Feyenoord forward is none too pleased and gives the English defender a bit of frustrated push as a few other players try to weigh in.

Another chance for the Italians. Well half a chance. Lorenzo Pellegrini whips in a corner but Chris Smalling's header loops up into the air allowing Feyenoord's Justin Bijlow a comfortable catch.

Jose Mourinho is patrolling the touchline. His Roma side have started to get a grip of this game now and he will be fairly satisfied with how things are going.

One or two nice bits of play from Roma in midfield, with Bryan Cristante and Henrikh Mhkitaryan both threatening to play telling through balls.

Feyenoord have started in positive fashion. They’re pressing, on the front foot and trying to win the ball back as high up the pitch as they can.
