  10. Never a dull moment at the Albionpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

West Bromwich Albion 3-1 Luton Town

It's going to be a late finish at The Hawthorns after the injury suffered by Luton's Jordan Clark in a collision with Albion's England goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

It took 10 minutes of on-field treatment before Clark was stretchered off to loud acclaim from all sections of the ground.

Albion then almost immediately made it 3-0 through Karlan Grant, who blasted home from 12 yards but four minutes later Luton finally got a foothold in this contest when Harry Cornick cashed in on some confusion in the home defence.

That ruined Johnstone's hopes of a clean sheet on his first start of the season. And the 1,433 Hatters fans in the 23,283 crowd, who clearly felt he had earlier been a little over zealous, did not hold back in their lack of affection for him.
