  2. League Two updatepublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

Josh Gordon put Barrow back in front against Hartlepool shortly after the break but they have been pegged back again through Will Goodwin, who made it 2-2 after 61 minutes.

Not too much to report elsewhere, with Bradford still leading Oldham, Mansfield 2-1 ahead at Newport and Forest Green Rovers still three goals to the good over Walsall.

  3. Postpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

    West Brom 2-0 Luton

Could be a fair bit of time added on at The Hawthorns as Jordan Clark is stretchered off after his collision with West Brom keeper Sam Johnstone.

    Fingers crossed he's okay.

  4. Postpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

    Hull 0-1 QPR

Rob Dickie take a bow. What a goalline clearance.

Seny Dieng's clearance was a poor one and Hull City took advantage, Matt Smith romping into the box and sliding his effort through the legs of Seny Dieng.

The whole ground thought it was in, but Dickie slid in like a champ and hooked it away.

    Seriously. Magnificent.

  5. RED CARDpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

    Nott'm Forest 1-2 Bournemouth

David Brooks is sent-off for a second yellow. Hero and villain for the Cherries after his earlier goal.

    Bournemouth down to 10.

  6. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 1-1 Bristol Citypublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

    Andy King (60 mins)

Bristol City have equalised against Middlesbrough and we could be in for an entertaining end at the Riverside.

Andy King capitalises on some poor Boro defending as he works onto Matty James' free-kick to nod home from close range.

Plenty for both sides to play for heading into the final half an hour.

  8. League One updatepublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

    Bolton celebrateImage source, Rex Features

Bolton have had a great start to the second half and have extended their lead over AFC Wimbledon to 3-1, with Oladapo Afolayan on target after 48 minutes. They were behind in that one.

Sunderland doubled their lead over MK Dons through Eliot Embleton but the hosts have just got back into it through Troy Parrott, who has made it 2-1.

Elsewhere, Portsmouth have gone ahead at home to Crewe, with John Marquis the man on target.

  9. PENALTY TO PRESTONpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

Preston win a penalty and could get back into this game!

There's a volley in the area and the referee judges that it was handled in the process.

Can they capitalise and cut Reading's lead?

Lead restored by Bournemouth, and it's Philip Billing who notches it.

Nice pass from Jaidon Anthony to set up the chance.

Forest's parity pulled from under their feet.

    Hull 0-1 QPR

Or should I say, Hull 0-2 Seny Dieng. The Rangers keeper has made two outstanding saves to keep the lead here for the visitors.

The first he knew little about, as he deflected a shot away from point blank range, but the second had his pulse quickening.

Lewie Coyle whipped a vicious, dipping drive from the right on his left foot and only the quick reactions of the back-pedalling Seny Dieng denied him with a desperate tip-over.

  13. goal

GOAL: Blackpool 0-1 Cardiffpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

    Leandro Bacuna (52 mins)

Cardiff take the lead at Bloomfield Road and it's come via a header!

Leandro Bacuna nods in at the back post and that's a perfect start to the second half.

Blackpool have their work cut out here.

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Bristol City

Djed Spence is having a great game for Middlesbrough and he puts a dangerous run in on goal to pressure Bristol City.

His effort is dealt with by Robins keeper Daniel Bentley, however.

MaxTigerHD: Hull City, let's still be positive another half left to go and also we have 44 matches left so keep our heads up and always try as this is a very strong QPR side that we can beat if we get stuck in!!!

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

    Reading 1-0 Preston

Almost 2-0 to Reading in the early stages of the second half against Preston.

Lucas Joao hits the post and it comes following an excellent pass from John Swift.

    Preston hanging on here.

  17. goal

GOAL: Nott'm Forest 1-1 Bournemouthpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

    Scott McKenna (50 mins)

Forest square it up early on in the second-half and it's Scott McKenna who gets the goal with a powerful header.

Philip Zinckernagel puts in another testing delivery and it was met nicely.

    Level pegging now.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

We're beginning to get back under way in the majority of our 15:00 BST kick-offs in the English Football League.

    A big 45 minutes awaits.

  19. Albion ahead by several Furlongspublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

    HT: West Brom 2-0 Luton

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at The Hawthorns

The majority of West Bromwich Albion fans are getting their first look at what life's going to be like without Matheus Pereira, following his long-drawn-out, ultimately eve-of-season exit.

But, on this evidence, they don't have much to worry about. Unlike Luton!

Valerien Ismael's Albion have played some wonderful, fast-flowing football on a surface slickened nicely by the pre-match rain.

Yet their main attacking outlet has actually been right-back Darnell Furlong - and his long throws.

One produced the first goal, from another Albion hit the bar - and, although he only played a very limited supporting role in the second goal, he has generally looked full of menace down the right.

  20. Postpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 14 August 2021

    Millwall 0-0 Blackburn

Elsewhere, there's two minutes until half-time at the Den after traffic delayed this afternoon's kick-off.

The hosts have just gone close with Jake Cooper heading narrowly wide from a corner.
