    Mark WarburtonImage source, Rex Features

QPR boss Mark Warburton has seen enough and decides he needs sweeping changes before the break.

George Thomas, who started at right wing-back, and midfielder Andre Dozzell are replaced.

Albert Adomah and Dominic Ball enter the fray.

A double substitution before half-time... it's bold but probably needed for Rangers.

  2. Postpublished at 33 mins

    QPR 0-2 Barnsley

After another high turnover of possession, Clarke Oduor waltzes past Rob Dickie and Jordy de Wijs before toe-poking an effort well wide while under pressure from another defender.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 31 mins

    QPR 0-2 Barnsley

Barnsley are playing some great stuff, and Seny Dieng is called into a save at his near post from Cauley Woodrow's angled drive.

The Tykes skipper was set up by a lovely pass by Callum Brittain.

  5. Postpublished at 31 mins

    QPR 0-2 Barnsley

Stefan Johansen gets into a bit of space on the left.

He cuts back inside and curls in a cross, but it is straight into the arms of Barnsley keeper Bradley Collins.

  6. Postpublished at 30 mins

    QPR 0-2 Barnsley

Changes for QPR after that second for the Tykes.

The hosts started with three at the back and wing-backs, but have gone to a flat back four now.

Osman Kakay, who was at left wing-back, has now gone across to right-back.

Back to the drawing board for Mark Warburton. Rangers have barely threatened the Barnsley goal.

  7. goal

GOAL: QPR 0-2 Barnsleypublished at 27 mins

    Cauley Woodrow

Barnsley double their lead with another sharp move.

Callum Styles' inswinging corner from the left is palmed away by Seny Dieng.

Styles picks up the loose ball outside the box, and combines with Josh Benson.

Styles is freed inside the box and puts in a low cross from the byline for Cauley Woodrow to tap in.

Simple stuff, and the Tykes are in firm control.

  8. Postpublished at 25 mins

    QPR 0-1 Barnsley

QPR go for a short corner as Stefan Johansen combines with Chris Willock.

It doesn't come off but Rangers recycle the ball and Willock whips in a cross from the right.

But it's too high for anyone to get on the end of.

  9. Postpublished at 24 mins

    QPR 0-1 Barnsley

QPR have struggled to get into the Barnsley half over the past 10 minutes.

The Tykes were known for their high pressing and direct play under Valerien Ismael, and that style has continued under Markus Schopp.

But the south Yorkshire club have been passing the ball a bit more than last season.

Eventually Rangers get the ball forward and Liam Kitching heads a cross behind for the hosts' first corner of the game.

  10. Postpublished at 19 mins

    QPR 0-1 Barnsley

Another chance for Barnsley, as Cauley Woodrow sends a shot bobbling to the left of the QPR goal.

The Tykes striker things he should have had a corner, and he might have a point.

The ball looked like it took a nick - either off a defender or the fingertips of R's keeper Seny Dieng.

  11. Postpublished at 17 mins

    QPR 0-1 Barnsley

Barnsley continue pressing forward and an inswinging comer from the left causes a bit of confusion in the QPR defence.

Moments later Liam Kitching gets on the end of Callum Brittain's right-wing cross at the near post and flashes a header just wide.

That was a really good chance for the centre-back to make it 2-0.

  12. goal

GOAL: QPR 0-1 Barnsleypublished at 14 mins

    Dominik Frieser

Barnsley have started brightly and take the lead.

Liam Kitching sends the ball forward down the left flank, and Dominik Frieser latches onto it.

The Austrian advances into the area and sends a low half-volley past Seny Dieng and into the Rangers net.

The hosts were looking for an offside flag which didn't come.

  13. Postpublished at 11 mins

    QPR 0-0 Barnsley

Great play by Barnsley as their front three combine nicely.

Clarke Oduor has a shot which he drags wide from just outside the area, but it got a touch off a defender.

The corner comes to nothing, again. This one is headed away at the near post.

  14. Postpublished at 8 mins

    QPR 0-0 Barnsley

Barnsley win the first corner of the match after decent work from Callum Styles down the left.

The Tykes take it short to Callum Brittain on the edge of the area, but the midfielder gives away a free-kick for a foul on Stefan Johansen.

A bit of a waste, that, by the visitors.

  15. Postpublished at 6 mins

    QPR 0-0 Barnsley

Dominik Frieser and Cauley Woodrow combine and the Tykes captain curls a shot over the bar from the edge of the area.

But the offside flag is up against Woodrow.

Both sides are looking to pass the ball through the lines, and there have been some decent moves so far.

  16. Postpublished at 4 mins

    QPR 0-0 Barnsley

First bit of work for visiting keeper Bradley Collins to do.

Charlie Austin heads a deep cross from the left from Ilias Chair back across goal, but wing-back George Thomas can only flick it up into the arms of the keeper.

  17. Postpublished at 2 mins

    QPR 0-0 Barnsley

Barnsley get a free-kick inside the centre-circle after a foul by Andre Dozzell but can't work anything from the set piece.

The delivery is to the edge of the box and flicked on, but goes behind for a goal kick before a Tykes player can get in a cross.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 12:30 British Summer Time 21 August 2021
