    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

    BIG save from Brice Samba.

Kamil Jozwiak plays in Rams skipper Tom Lawrence on the left and he drifts on to his right foot before smashing a firm shot at goal that Samba get a strong hand to.

    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Forest sub Alex Mighten has probably showed more threat in the first three minutes of this half that Joao Carvalho showed in 45 in the first.

The visitors are on top right now but they're yet to test Kelle Roos in the home goal.

    Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

The visitors start the second half on top at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Han-Noah Massengo shows some silky footwork to make space on his left foot but he can't quite get enough curl on it to trouble Dillon Phillips.

Chris Martin then propels himself at a corner but his header bounces down into the turf and over the bar.

Bright start to the second period from Nigel Pearson's men.

The EFL action got under way on Friday night with a pair of 1-1 draws.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's Burton came from behind to draw with Cheltenham in League One while Rochdale did the same to take a point against Colchester in League Two.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Does Forest boss Chris Hughton have 45 minutes to save his job?

His side trail to Tom Lawrence's well-hit shot and have scarcely threatened at all. Right now it looks like being five successive defeats to start the season for the Reds.

  8. Postpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Derby's Ravel Morrison is down in the centre circle after a heavy clash of heads with Joe Worrall.

Looks like he should be ok but they'll be taking the proper precautions with him I'm sure.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

Cardiff go close again just before the break as Josh Bagan's goalbound header is pushed away from danger from Dan Bentley.

The Robins goalkeeper then has to make a smart save to deny Leandro Bacuna.

And with that the referee calls time on an end-to-end first half.

Much more to come in this one!

  10. Postpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Forest finally get the ball down the Derby end and win a corner.

Phillip Zinckernagel's deep ball finds Joe Worrall free at the back post but his header across the face is delt with.

About 60 seconds to the break.

  11. Postpublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Derby are moving the ball around really well when they get their foot on it it has to be said.

They're not really playing with a striker as such and the technical players they've got in the forward roles have all looked after the ball well and moved it around neatly.

They've threatened to open Forest up a couple of times without making the most of it.

  12. Postpublished at 13:14 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Kicking off a bit with Derby feeling they should have been awarded a penalty after the ball hit Joe Worrall's arm in the area.

It should be a penalty to be fair but the referee has not seen it that.

That's a let off for the Reds.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

    That's a waste.

Derby are up and running at the Forest defence and Tom Lawrence has got to slip Kamil Jozwiak in on goal but he keeps it too long and the chance goes.

Jozwiak is then booked for sliding in late on Forest defender Joe Worrall trying to get it back.

    Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

Cardiff v Bristol CityImage source, Rex Features

The visitors looked full of confidence following the goal, eager to build on their advantage, but it's a more even affair again now.

Cardiff are unbeaten so far this season and have had to come back from losing positions to keep that record intact, so there won't be any panic just yet with five minutes to go before the break

  15. Postpublished at 13:10 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Some lovely link-up play between Kamil Jozwiak and Ravel Morrison nearly sends Louie Sibley in on goal but he can't get on to the throughball.

Not seen too much of ex-Manchester United man Morrison so far but what he has done has been neat and tidy.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:08 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

    That's cheap.

Nottingham Forest midfielder James Garner is beaten easily in the middle of the park by Max Bird and he drags him back to stop him getting away.

That's our first booking of the day.

  17. Postpublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Derby 1-0 Nott'm Forest

The game's just settled down a little bit in the past few minutes as we tick by the half hour mark.

There's great atmosphere at Pride Park but so far none of the players have got too caught up in it and we've barely had a foul worthy of the name.

  18. Welsh 10 denies Welsh 10published at 13:04 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

    Michael Pearlman
BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

It's so close to being 1-1!

One Welsh number 10 has just denied another, even if that makes this sound like a rugby match.

The visitors fail to clear and Cardiff work the ball to Kieffer Moore who shoots in a crowded penalty area, but Moore was denied by his Welsh teammate, Andy King, who made a miraculous recovery to clear off the line.

  19. League One derby delayedpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Rotherham v Doncaster (13:15 BST)

The South Yorkshire derby between Rotherham and Doncaster has been delayed by 15 minutes.

Timekeeping not a strength for the Millers this season so far!

Last week's home game against Sheffield Wednesday was also delayed.

  20. CLOSE!published at 13:01 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

    Off the line!

Kieffer Moore shows good anticipation and positioning as the ball rolls across the box and his shot beats Dan Bentley, only for Andy King to clear!

So close to an equaliser in what is becoming a very entertaining game.
