  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:12 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    West Ham 0-0 Brentford

    BIG save!

Another attack from the confident visitors as Ethan Pinnock cushions a headed ball into the box and Ivan Toney has all the time to make sure he gets his connection right. He volleys well but Lukasz Fabianski reacts quickly to push away.

    Cracking start to this game.

Kyle: With the squad Leicester have now it's such a disappointing start to the season for them. With the games they had I was expecting them to have done much better at this stage of the season. If they want to be a top 4 side. Today's game is a must win match.

  3. Postpublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Leicester

Leicester haven't really worked anything in the final third yet.

Youri Tielemans swings in a free-kick which big Jannik Vestergaard awkwardly meets but fails to get any real purchase on the ball.

The Dane missed a sitter in the Europa League against Legia Warsaw on Thursday. Somehow failed to score from four yards out.

  4. Postpublished at 14:08 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    West Ham 0-0 Brentford

Now West Ham have the chance to flex their muscles as Declan Rice sends the ball down the flank. Michail Antonio gives chase but is just unable to keep the ball in play. Brentford were in trouble if he had kept it in.

  5. CLOSE!published at 14:06 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    West Ham 0-0 Brentford

Really, really bright start by Brentford as Bryan Mbeumo again goes close, this time nodding just wide from a cross.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank promised his side would attack and they are doing just that right from the outset.

  6. Postpublished at 14:06 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    Tottenham 0-0 Aston Villa

A shaky start for Tottenham's two centre-backs Cristian Romero and Eric Dier.

Both have given the ball away twice in the opening five minutes.

    Tottenham 0-0 Aston Villa

    Alan Hutton
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I like how Aston Villa are trying to do everything quickly. Not giving Tottenham time to settle, they are putting them on the back foot and asking them what they are made of.

Jonathan: Ings loves a good goal against Tottenham, nailed on goal scorer here. Uncomfortable afternoon ahead for Spurs.

  9. CLOSE!published at 14:04 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Leicester

Almost the nightmare start for Leicester as Odsonne Edouard gets on the end of Jordan Ayew's low cross but doesn't fully catch it and Kasper Schmeichel jumps in to smother.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    West Ham 0-0 Brentford

Just the third meeting between these two clubs in the last 63 years. The last time they met - in 1993 - West Ham won 4-0. Goals in this one too? The Bees are not far off taking an early lead as Bryan Mbeumo's shot following a corner hits the crossbar!

  11. Postpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    Tottenham 0-0 Aston Villa

Decent start from Villa, penning Spurs back in the opening few minutes.

Skipper Tyrone Mings ventured forward and almost flicked header in at the far post.

  12. 'It is going be a difficult day for Spurs'published at 14:01 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    Tottenham 0-0 Aston Villa

    Nigel Reo-Coker
Former West Ham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think it is going to be a difficult day for Spurs if they go behind. Dean Smith will be telling his team to be sound defensively but to go and get the first goal.

If Aston Villa take the lead it is going to be a difficult stadium for Tottenham and I don't feel right now Spurs as a team are clicking and have that real togetherness or leaders in their team to rally back from a goal down.

Away we go in the three games in the capital.

  14. Messi suffers first PSG losspublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    French Ligue 1

    How have PSG managed this?!

A frontline of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe failed to muster a single shot on target against Rennes this lunchtime.

Mauricio Pochettino's side have been beaten 2-0 in the league for the first time this season.

Tottenham v Aston Villa (14:00 BST)

    Alan Hutton
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Dean Smith is a fantastic manager, not only how he deals with the players but he can adapt his tactics. He changed the formation against Chelsea and it really worked and he has run with it.

He trusts the players and the players trust him and that is the main thing.

  16. Postpublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

Just spotted Michael McIntyre at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Nuno will be hoping his side don't produce any comedic defending.

  17. Janelt out for Brentfordpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

West Ham v Brentford (14:00 BST)

A pre-kick off blow for Brentford as Vitaly Janelt, who joined the Bees one year ago today, is replaced by Frank Onyeka.

Janelt appeared to be struggling with a thigh issue during his warm up.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank: "I think West Ham have continued their good form from last year. They have an incredible balanced team in terms of how they defend but they are also a massive threat going forward.

"We are looking forward to this game. We will attack and believe in ourselves."

    Brentford

Brentford have started impressively in their maiden Premier League campaign.

Thomas Frank's men are looking to become just the fourth team to go unbeaten in their first four Premier League away games, and the first since Hull City in 2008-09.

The Bees have only trailed for 25 minutes in Premier League matches so far this season - the fewest of any team.
