Ole has triumphed where many better managers have failed. He's managed to find a way to stop Ronaldo scoring.

  3. 'We accept the point'published at 17:13 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    FT: Norwich 0-0 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton manager Graham Potter speaking to BBC Sport: "It was a hard-fought game. We weren't at our best, but not too bad either and in the end, after both teams had chances, we accept the point.

"We couldn't find the final bit to score the goal, but Daniel Farke probably thinks the same thing. We have to play Manchester City at the weekend and we go match to match and don't worry about what the table might look like in May. It is about trying to improve and be better and keep picking the points up."

On Tariq Lamptey's return: "It is great for him and us. It is great to have him on the pitch."

  4. 'One of Leeds' worst performances'published at 17:11 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Southampton 1-0 Leeds United

    Chris Wise
BBC Radio 5 Live at St Mary's

Leeds United’s fans have been treated to some terrific performances since their return to the Premier League, but that has to be one of their worst.

Southampton thoroughly deserved to win, and they didn’t need to be great to scoop up all the points either. Ralph Hasenhuttl looked relieved at the full-time whistle. That will have removed the tiny bit of pressure that was just beginning to form.

Love Dean Smith and think our signings have been first class, but start to this season has been dreadful. No points against this Spurs team and this Wolves team? Unacceptable for Villa.

  6. 'We will never, ever stop'published at 17:10 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    FT: Aston Villa 2-3 Wolves

    Wolverhampton Wanderers

More from Wolves captain Conor Coady to BBC: "Incredible. Honestly, it was emotional and tough. I didn't think there was much in the game until it all kicked off and went a bit bonkers. It was a derby so to win the way we have from 2-0 down is incredible.

"It's something we always try and work on. It's a pleasure to be within this changing room. We will never, ever stop. I can hear the supporters singing and we will never stop for them either.

"No matter how the goals go in it's incredible. I could see my wife and the boys in the stand at the end going mental. It doesn't matter who scored but luckily we got the win today.

"I think we gelled from the first game. Since the new manager came in we have improved. We were on the end of some bad results but there's loads to improve on. We want to enjoy it.

"[Tyrone Mings] is the first person I saw at the end. We know they're a top team. He's one of my best mates and I'm sure we'll have a chat about it at some point but I think I'll leave him to it for a bit..."

Robin: If we all thought McFred partnership was bad, the Magelöf defence is so much worse. Liverpool must be licking their lips.

Noodles: You can talk about Ronaldo regretting his decision all you like but ultimately he played his part in the team that lost

I know it's still early in the season, but Man Utd have already dropped too many points to win the league. Something needs to change.

  9. 'I'm still out of breath'published at 17:07 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    FT: Aston Villa 2-3 Wolves

    Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves captain Conor Coady: "I'm still out of breath to be honest! It was really, really tough. Aston Villa have spent money on top players. I thought it was quite even. We gave away sloppy goals but days like that, you don't think of that. To come back is testament to the boys. Incredible, eh?

"It's the character that we showed. We have great team spirit. It's a pleasure to be around these boys. We have played in the team who want to step up and help each other. To win it like that is next level.

"It came off my knee and one most people won't remember but I will. We work on set-pieces quite a lot so to score off them today is really pleasing. It was emotional and one we'll remember for a long time. We'll always push to get better but we'll enjoy days like today."

FT: Leicester City 4-2 Man Utd

    Leicester City

Leicester forward Jamie Vardy: "It was massively important. The most important thing was the performance because we had let our standards slip but we had the international break to reflect on things.

"We let him [Mason Greenwood] come inside way to easy onto his favoured foot and he put it right into the top corner. There were no complaints but I think you saw the reaction of the lads.

"We put a three in midfield and it gives him [Youri Tielemans] a bit more freedom [to get forward].

"It is brilliant for him [Patson Daka]. He has been working so hard in training. I am over the moon for him and I’m sure there are plenty more to come from Patson. Hopefully that will start pushing us forward in the table."

  14. 'Man Utd don't know how to play together'published at 17:00 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    FT: Leicester 4-2 Man Utd

    Alan Hutton
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

What a fantastic game; some great goals, great play. Over the 90 minutes, Leicester deserved it. I fear for Man Utd, the defence looks all over the place. They look like a team of unbelievably talented players that don't know how to play together.

    FT: Southampton 1-0 Leeds United

Hugs and high fives all around for Southampton - and particularly for Armando Broja.

The on-loan Chelsea striker started the week with a brilliant winner for Albania in a crucial World Cup qualifying win against Hungary.

Now Broja finishes it with the goal which beats Leeds and earns Saints a much-needed win. On his first Premier League start!
