    FT: Celtic 3-2 Hearts

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou tells BBC Sportsound: "For the first hour we were outstanding - it's as well as we've played this season. The only thing is we didn't take more of the chances we created.

"The last half hour we got a bit ragged, which is understandable and down to fatigue, but overall I'm pleased.

"Hearts' goal gave them a bit of momentum but we could have scored more after that.

"There's still a lot more in us. We just have to keep improving."

  4. Neilson takes positives from second halfpublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 15 August 2021

    FT: Celtic 3-2 Hearts

Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson tells BBC Sportsound: "We couldn't get a foothold in the game in the first half but I was really pleased with the second half after we changed shape and played with more belief.

"We scored the goals and had Celtic under pressure at times. If we come here on the front foot, press and win the ball, pick the right pass, we can break them down.

"You have to pick when you come into the game and when to shut off at a place like Celtic Park. First half, we were too passive with our press. Second half, we shut down the wider areas and we could get at their centre-halves.

"We're really disappointed to be out of the cup but we'll take the positives from the second half."

    FT: Hibernian 2-0 Kilmarnock

  12. Hibs boss happy with win as he seeks new forwardpublished at 17:05 British Summer Time 15 August 2021

    FT: Hibernian 2-0 Kilmarnock

Hibernian manager Jack Ross tells BBC Scotland: "I think that's as good a win as we've had all season. Given the exertions we had on Thursday, I thought they were excellent, second half in particular.

"I've been delighted with the start of the season, Thursday night aside in terms of the end result, but the performance again was good. But we've started the season really positively."

However, Ross says he is looking for a new striker after hearing the news Christian Doidge has been ruled out for three to four months.

He said: "Christian Doidge has an Achilles injury which will likely rule him out for the rest of this calendar year I would imagine. It's a huge blow for us, and we'll have to find a replacement for him."
