City's wide players are threatening to kill Everton. They have so much space to gather the ball and run into.
Everton 0-0 Man City
Oh, this is a bit of luck falling Everton's way. Hayley Raso is away down the right and drives into the box before chipping a shot that home keeper Alexandra MacIver punches on to the top the bar and over. Not entirely convincing keeping.

Janine Beckie is the problem. Everton are trying to keep things tight centrally but that is leaving Beckie in acres of space.
Everton 0-0 Man City
Everton are having the odd flash at attacking involvement. Steph Houghton is robbed by Anna Anvegard, but her effort is blocked before it can cause any damage.
Aston Villa 0-1 Leicester City

Having conceded a soft goal, the Villa keeper stands tall to thwart Molly Pike who looked certain to double Leicester's lead.

Everton have dropped a bit deeper after starting with a pretty high line in defence.
They are getting a bit stretched - Janine Beckie has cut inside off the left twice in as many minutes. Caroline Weir is getting the better of the Everton midfielders too.

Good effort!
City are warming up to this task now. Steph Houghton's long ball releases Janine Beckie, who cuts inside and fires a fierce shot that Sandy MacIver does well to parry.
Aston Villa 0-1 Leicester City
Another change for Villa. This one is forced as defender Meaghan Sargeant has injured herself after a fall. Elisha N'Dow is on.
Nothing is going right for the hosts.
Everton 0-0 Man City

It's very open at the moment. City have got the tall figure of Khadija Shaw up front and she's putting herself about early on.
Toni Duggan almost snuck in behind then but Izzy Christiansen couldn't quite pick her out.
That will be a combination I expect to see a lot this season.
Aston Villa 0-1 Leicester City
Carla Ward has reacted to her side's disappointing first half showing by making a change up front. Shania Hayles is on for Jodie Hutton.
Everton 0-0 Man City
City try to get away with a ball over the top, but Alexandra MacIver is quickly off her line to hammer the ball away.

It's good to see Toni Duggan back in the WSL. I played with her when she was 15,16, 17 and she was a sensation.
Everton 0-0 Man City
Shaw, or Bunny as it says on her shirt, tries to get her head to the corner but Everton clear.
Everton 0-0 Man City
First sign of Khadija Shaw, with a powerful run that wins City a corner.
Aston Villa 0-1 Leicester City
Back under way at the Banks' Stadium.

Oh, almost. A fine run from Kenza Dali sees her drive into the box. She lays the ball off and has it returned to her for a shot she scuffs wide. Promising.
