Partick Thistle, although their game is not quite at half-time yet because of the delayed kick-off in Arbroath, are heading to the top of the second tier on their own.
First-half braces from both Liel Abada and David Turnbull have Ange Postecoglou's side on course for top spot.
Alan Power's red card at 1-0 has done the visitors no favour at all as they've struggled to deal with a relentless Celtic.
Another long 45 minutes to come for the Paisley side with Covid isolating manager Jim Goodwin must be hiding under the settee by now.
It's been a game of fine margins at the Tony Macaroni Arena, but Livingston are on the right side of them so far.
There's been little to shout about in front of goal, but a moment of quality from Alan Forrest has the hosts ahead.
Colin Hamilton (own goal)
David Turnbull
St Mirren goalkeeper Jak Alnwick is having a bit of a shocker.
Liel Abada is the creator as he clips a ball into the box, but Alnwick flaps at it and David Turnbull is on hand to finish from close range.
The midfielder's second of the game.

Celtic 3-0 St Mirren
Odsonne Edouard threatens again as he turns in the penalty box and drags and attempt wide of the near post.
Wouldn't be surprised at all to see the French striker get on the scoresheet at this rate.
Alan Forrest
It's a brilliant goal from the Livingston winger!
Bruce Anderson creates some space on the edge of the area to set Forrest up.
He's given time to pick his spot and finds the bottom-left corner expertly.
Celtic 3-0 St Mirren
I'm sure St Mirren would happily call it quits right now if they could.
This time, a bit of a mix up in the penalty box results in Odsonne Edouard flinging a leg at the ball, but the striker's close-range attempt clips the crossbar and goes ever.
Celtic 3-0 St Mirren
Despite Celtic's dominance, they haven't looked too clever with balls coming into the penalty box.
This time, a deep free-kick finds Conor McCarthy, whose header had goalkeeper Joe Hart scrambling down to his left.
Celtic 3-0 Celtic
Livingston 0-0 Motherwell
Craig Sibbald goes down unchallenged after an earlier knock, so Livingston are forced into an early change.
The midfielder is replaced with Andrew Shinnie.
Celtic 3-0 St Mirren
Liel Abada is giving the St Mirren backline a torrid time as the winger skips to the bye-line and whips in a ball to the back post for Kyogo Furuhashi.
You would bet your house on the Japanese striker finishing it, but he diverts it over the bar.
Livingston 0-0 Motherwell
While it's goals-galore in the other Premiership match, this one looks to be tight.
Motherwell are holding most of possession, but Livingston look dangerous on the counter-attack.
