Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has recalled attacking midfielder Ryan Christie and striker Odsonne Edouard for St Mirren's visit.

Tom Rogic and James Forrest are two men that make way from Wednesday's 2-0 win over AZ Alkmaar.

Forrest doesn't appear on the bench today either after the winger picked up a knock in Europa League action on Wednesday.

  2. Juranovic arrives at lastpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 21 August 2021

    Celtic v St Mirren (15:00)

Celtic have already grabbed the headlines this morning with the conclusion of their long drawn-out pursuit of Croatia right-back Josip Juranovic from Legia Warsaw for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old, who has agreed a five-year contract, will not be involved against St Mirren today because he requires international clearance.

He will provide competition for Anthony Ralston, who has made an impressive start to the season after having spent most of time since graduating from the youth set-up on various loans.

    Scottish Premiership

It's too early to talk about league tables, but Ange Postecoglou's Celtic would draw level with Hibernian, Aberdeen and Hearts at the top should they continue their recent revival.

St Mirren, Livingston and Motherwell are all really waiting to kick-start their league seasons.

Bit of an unusual Saturday in Scottish football with only two Premiership fixtures, but there's still plenty to talk about.

Revitalised Celtic host a St Mirren side bereft of the presence of Covid-hit manager Jim Goodwin, while Livingston entertain Motherwell and there's big games in the three lower leagues too.
