  1. FULL-TIME Dundee 2-2 Hibernianpublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

Phew, what a breathless finish. No winner other than entertainment.

Dundee's Jason Cummings and Martin Boyle, the latter a penalty, scored against their former sides before Ryan Porteous put Hibs ahead and Paul McGowan saved a point for the home side.

The Dens Park men fail to secure their first win since a return to the Premiership while Hibs go top by a point.

  2. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 90+2

    Dundee 2-2 Hibernian

Cries for a penalty as Jamie Gullan goes down in the Dundee penalty box in a tussle with Paul Sweeney, but they are a bit ambitious.

  3. CLOSE!published at 90+1

    Dundee 2-2 Hibernian

We almost did have that winner - and maybe should have.

Martin Boyle powers into the penalty box and, when his shot can only be parried by Adam Legzdins, it falls to Alex Gogic, but the midfielder can only deflect it straight back into the goalkeeper's arms.

  4. Postpublished at 90mins

    Dundee 2-2 Hibernian

We're into four minutes of stoppage time...Can we have a fifth goal and winner?

    Quote Message

It's so refreshing to see two teams having a go at one another and it would be unfair for either to win it, they have put so much into it

  6. Postpublished at 88mins

    Dundee 2-2 Hibernian

It's Hibs' turn to threaten from a corner, but Dundee manage to clear.

This game could go either way. It's end-to-end stuff.

  7. Postpublished at 87mins

    Dundee 2-2 Hibernian

Dundee are pressing for a victory and goalscorer Paul McGowan threatens just that with a flashing drive over the crossbar.

  8. More changes...published at 85mins

    Dundee 2-2 Hibernian

Jamie Gullan has come on for James Scott up front for Hibs, while Ryan Sweeney replaces Liam Fontaine for Dundee.

    It's all happening here...breathless stuff.

  9. GOAL! Dundee 2-2 Hibernianpublished at 13:39 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Paul McGowan

Told you earlier Paul McGowan can be influential.

Paul McMullan does well to manoeuvre himself into space to cross and poor marking from the Hibs defence allows the midfielder time to nod low into the corner from close range.

  10. Wright for Murphypublished at 81mins

    Dundee 1-2 Hibernian

Jamie Murphy should have settled the game for Hibs a few minutes ago and the winger's disappointment is compounded as he is replaced with Drey Wright.

  11. YELLOW CARD Byrne (Dundee) Doig (Hibs)published at 78mins

    Dundee 1-2 Hibernian

A bit of pushing and shoving after Dundee win a free-kick and Hibs left-back Josh Doig and Dundee midfielder Shaun Byrne find themselves in the referee's book.

  12. McDaid for Andersonpublished at 77mns

    Dundee 1-2 Hibernian

Max Anderson went down in a heap as he tried to respond to that Hibs break and the midfield fails to recover from the injury.

Declan McDaid is sent on to take his place.

  13. 'Game should be wrapped up'published at 13:33 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Dundee 1-2 Hibernian

    Quote Message

That could be a massive save from Legzdins. The game should've been wrapped up by Murphy there

  14. Bad miss!published at 75mins

    Dundee 1-2 Hibernian

It should definitely be three for Hibs this time.

Martin Boyle breaks clear and they have a three on one situation.

Jamie Murphy has all the time in the world to pick his spot, but he fires straight at Adam Legzdins and the goalkeeper beats it clear for a corner.

  15. Postpublished at 72mins

    Dundee 1-2 Hibernian

So close to a third for Hibs - and it probably should have been.

Dundee fail to clear a low cross from Kyle Magennis and Martin Boyle should at least test the goalkeeper instead of lashing high and wide from around the penalty spot.

  16. Adam off, McGowan onpublished at 69mins

    Dundee 1-2 Hibernian

Indeed, Dundee make a change as influential Charlie Adam is replaced with the equally experienced Paul McGowan in midfield.

  17. Dundee 'lost spark'published at 13:26 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Dundee 1-2 Hibernian

    Jim Duffy
Former Dundee manager on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It looks like James McPake is looking at his bench. Dundee have lost their spark a bit and look a bit deflated

  18. YELLOW CARD Ashcroft (Dundee)published at 64mins

    Dundee 1-2 Hibernian

A dangerous break from Hibs is brought to a shuddering halt by a pretty brutal trip from defender Lee Ashcroft that leaves winger Martin Boyle needing a spell of treatment.

  19. Postpublished at 62mins

    Dundee 1-2 Hibernian

Dundee threaten to strike back almost immediately as Charlie Adam's miss-placed cross looks to be dipping in before goalkeeper Matt Macey turns it over for a corner.

  20. GOAL Dundee 1-2 Hibernianpublished at 59mins

    Ryan Porteous

Hibs have turned this round and get their reward for a spell of pressure as centre-half Ryan Porteous' volley finds it way into the net from the resulting corner.

It comes through a sea of legs, but goalkeeper Adam Legzdins will maybe think he could have done more than touch it into the side netting.
