@BmacTank: "You could also spin it and say we have sold our best playing asset for nearly £20m and replaced him with a £2.5m player. When we sold Dembele we spent £9m on Edouard. Balance sheet is top priority for Celtic, nothing has changed."

'Great business from Celtic'published at 18:47 British Summer Time 31 August 2021

    Tweet @BBCSportScot to join debate

If You Know The History: "Great business so far from Celtic to get £2.5m for Christie and a potential £20m for Edouard while bringing in Greek striker Giakoumakis for under £2.5m. Great deadline day for me so far."

Deals for Christie and Edouard are yet to be concluded and of course I can't confirm those are the kind of numbers involved - but, regardless, has it been a good day for Celtic so far?

  15. Hendry Bruges bound?published at 18:41 British Summer Time 31 August 2021

This isn't related to the domestic game in Scotland, but still an intriguing one.

Sky Sports are reporting that ex-Celtic defender Jack Hendry is in talks over a £8.6m move to Club Bruges.

The Scotland defender made his loan move to Oostende permanent at the start of the summer for a reported fee of around £1.75m.

But, just a couple of months later, the Belgian club look set to make a tasty profit on the former Dundee man.
