  1. Good night for Cherriespublished at 22:00 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    FT: Reading 0-2 Bournemouth

Scott Parker's men have become the first Championship side since Brighton in 2015-16 to remain unbeaten through their first 15 matches of the season.

The Seagulls lost their 22nd fixture that season and the way Bournemouth are playing you wouldn't bet against them going beyond that milestone.

Dominic Solanke and substitute Jamal Lowe with the goals tonight and it's a fourth straight clean sheet too - plenty for Parker to be pleased about at both ends of the pitch.

Thanks for joining us tonight, we'll be back on Tuesday for a round of midweek fixtures.

Don't forget to put your clocks back and enjoy the rest of your Saturday night!

Things are looking pretty sweet for the Cherries at the top of the table.

  3. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:53 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    Reading 0-2 Bournemouth

Another victory and it's now 15 games unbeaten for Bournemouth.

The Cherries saw off some early Reading pressure and looked comfortable as soon as they scored the opener, coasting to victory in the end.

They looked a very accomplished outfit tonight and you get the feeling they could have gone up a couple of gears had they needed to.

Bournemouth have now won their last five games and are five points clear at the summit of the Championship.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 90 + 1 min

    Reading 0-2 Bournemouth

A yellow card for Chris Mepham as the clock ticks down.

And from the free-kick Mark Travers is finally forced into action!

Scott Dann gets a good header in and it's a smart stop from the goalkeeper.

Dann nearly got his customary goal against the Cherries!

  5. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Reading 0-2 Bournemouth

A penalty shout for Reading as Lloyd Kelly makes a challenge in his own box on Andy Yiadom.

And looking at the replay it's a pretty good shout. Kelly catches the Reading full-back as he clears the ball and if VAR was a factor that may have been given a closer look.

There are three minutes of added time.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

    Reading 0-2 Bournemouth

Veljko Paunovic finally makes a change as he sends on Jahmari Clarke to replace George Puscas up top.

Puscas had a couple of good chances to get on the scoresheet but couldn't quite get them right.

The gloves of Mark Travers in the Bournemouth goal might not even need a clean tonight he's had so little involvement.

  7. Postpublished at 84 mins

    Reading 0-2 Bournemouth

John Swift has been excellent this season but even he can't conjure up any magic tonight.

He looks dejected as he's caught offside and time is running out for his side.

Bournemouth have now gone eleven hours without conceding - if that's not tempting fate for a Reading goal and exciting finale I don't know what is!

Scott Dann is urged to shoot by the crowd from about 30 yards and let's just say it doesn't trouble the goalkeeper.

Reading are having plenty of possession but are struggling to find any gaps in the Cherries backline.

  9. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Reading 0-2 Bournemouth

The game is drifting now and there is still no sign of any movement on the Reading bench which seems somewhat strange.

Just under fifteen minutes to go and Bournemouth are looking the more likely to get the next goal.

  10. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Reading 0-2 Bournemouth

Philip Billing lashes a long-range effort at goal which dips in front of Luke Southwood who just about gets it behind to safety.

Reading are now defending a series of corners and are unable to get up to the other end where they really need to be.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

    Reading 0-2 Bournemouth

Welshman Chris Mepham comes on for the impressive Jordan Zemura in the third change for Bournemouth.

Reading still to make any changes and they have 20 minutes remaining to mount a comeback which looks unlikely at present I have to admit.

  12. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Reading 0-2 Bournemouth

Reading haven't played badly at all but they are lacking a cutting edge, shorn of two of the men who regularly provide the goals for them in Lucas Joao and Yakou Meite.

For all their undoubted effort and endeavour, they still haven't managed a shot on target and Bournemouth now look comfortable.

GOAL: Reading 0-2 Bournemouthpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    Jamal Lowe (59 mins)

Ignore that last entry about almost an instant impact from Jamal Lowe as the Jamaican substitute has just stroked in Bournemouth's second.

Again he's given too much room and uses the time and space to pick his spot, with a guided, low effort which gives Luke Southwood no chance.

Two shots on target, two goals for Bournemouth.

That's really taken the wind out of Reading's sails.

    Reading 0-1 Bournemouth

Almost an instant impact from Jamal Lowe who latches on to a wonderful Philip Billing pass and races down the left flank.

He crosses with pace from a dangerous position but Baba Rahman gets a vital block in and Reading get it away to safety.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 55 mins

    Reading 0-1 Bournemouth

Second change for Bournemouth and it's the other Cherry to be booked Jaidon Anthony who is hooked.

Former Swansea striker Jamal Lowe is on in his place.

Two changes before the hour from Scott Parker with his opposite number choosing to stick rather than twist so far.

  16. CLOSE!published at 53 mins

    Reading 0-1 Bournemouth

    Chance for Reading!

A floated cross is flicked-on by Ovie Ejaria to George Puscas who is stretching and turns his effort over the bar.

Bournemouth skipper Lloyd Kelly threw himself at that to disrupt the Romanian and keep the clean sheet intact.

  17. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Reading 0-1 Bournemouth

Phillip Billing flashes a cross into the box which Luke Southwood dives to punch away from danger.

The ball is recycled to Jaidon Anthony who has space for a shot but decides for some reason to turn down the opportunity and promptly loses the ball.

The task ahead of Reading is a daunting one, with Bournemouth winning their last four and not conceding in the last three.

A graphic has just popped up on screen showing just how strong they are when they go ahead in games too.

But this is the Championship and anything can happen!

  19. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    Reading 0-1 Bournemouth

We're back under way in Berkshire.

    An interesting half ahead.

Reading were brilliant in the opening half hour, can they find a way back into this?

Or will Bournemouth build on that goal and press on for a few more now they've found their feet?

One change for the Cherries sees Ben Pearson replace Gavin Kilkenny, who was booked in the first half.
