Jota is in acres of space, it's a huge chance for me. Betis just managed to clear after making a meal of it. I don't understand how he got so much space.

    Real Betis 0-0 Celtic

Decent start by Celtic. Jota nearly scampers onto a loose ball in behind, but goalkeeper Claudio Bravo wins the race, then fumbles, but Betis clear.

The biggest loss for me is Callum McGregor. Soro does not offer you anywhere near the quality of McGregor to entice the press and play that pass forward.

Due to the introduction of the Europa Conference League, the Europa has been slimmed down and qualification for the knockout stages has changed.

ONLY the eight group winners progress automatically to the round of 16.

There will then be an additional knockout round prior to the round of 16, with the eight Europa League group runners-up and the eight third-ranked teams of the Champions League groups going head-to-head.

So, it really pays to win your group.

    Real Betis v Celtic (17:45)

One of Spain's biggest clubs, Betis are back in Europe for the first time since 2018-19 thanks to a sixth-place finish last season under former Manchester City and West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini.

After starting the new campaign with two La Liga draws and a defeat, Pellegrini's men got their first victory with a late 2-1 success at Granada on Monday.

Notable players include Spain playmaker Sergio Canales, Portugal midfielder William Carvalho and new loan recruit from Arsenal, Hector Bellerin.

A tough start in a really tough group.

Ange Postecoglou is without plenty of key men tonight for a tough match against Betis.

Callum McGregor, the lynchpin in midfield, left-back Greg Taylor, in-form striker Kyogo, and Liel Abada are all missing tonight.

"I see that as an opportunity for us to build resilience through this period," the Celtic boss said. Can his team respond?

It's the first time Celtic have been in the Andalusian capital since the 2003 Uefa Cup final, when thousands made the trip to watch Martin O'Neill's side go down bravely against Jose Mourinho's Porto.
