Change of shape for the Saints, perhaps?

Bit of a mix up in the Dundee defence as Liam Fontaine and Adam Legzdins don't come for a ball, but David Wotherspoon is denied.

It then breaks to Glenn Middleton who tries to drill the ball in from a tight angle, but it flies across the face of goal.

Glen Kamara is next to try his luck for Rangers as he steps forward from midfield to steer a low shot wide by a foot or so.

Some cracking, crunching tackles fly in from both sides and get the reception they deserve from a lively crowd.

No goals yet, but this has been an entertaining first half between the Tayside clubs.

Rangers keep streaming forward and a cross from Calvin Bassey deflects into the path of John Lundstram on the edge of the box. The big midfielder wants too much time though and the ball is nicked off his toes.

It looks like Alfredo Morelos is going to open the scoring as some sharp passing opens up the Livingston defence. The Rangers striker's shot slips by goalkeeper Max Stryjek but Nicky Devlin makes a sensational sliding block to keep the ball out of the net.

There was nothing wrong with that approach play, though.

Max Anderson is set free down the left and he whips in a fantastic ball for full-back Cammy Kerr, who powers a header towards the bottom-right corner.

But the effort is matched by another top Zander Clark save.

Dundee are being afforded plenty of space on the break, but they are being so sloppy in parts of their build-up play.

Manager James McPake will be fuming on the touchline...

Leigh Griffiths latches onto a poor pass-back from Shaun Rooney and the striker tries to catch out Zander Clark with an early first-time shot.

But the Scotland forward doesn't get enough bend on it and the ball drifts wide.

The Dundee man had more time than he realised.

Calvin Bassey with a great first touch as he controls a pass over the top. The Rangers left-back cuts inside, with Livi defenders lunging in. The goal opens up but he leans back and blazes his shot high over the top from just inside the penalty box.

Rangers defender Connor Goldson launches it long and straight. Scott Wright is in behind the Livi defence but he can't kill the pass near the edge of the area and it skids through to the goalie.

Right up the other end, Chris Kane provides for his strike partner Glenn Middleton, who lashes a volley towards goal, but it's sliced wide.

End-to-end stuff at Dens Park.

This game is sparking into life nicely.

Dundee break and Leigh Griffiths picks the ball up on the right. The on-loan Celtic striker cuts on to his left foot and bends in a brilliant cross.

The ball finds Jordan McGhee charging into the box, but the Dundee man's header is straight at Zander Clark who parries the ball away well.
