  3. 'It should be a great occasion' - Postecogloupublished at 22:18 British Summer Time 23 September 2021

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Raith Rovers

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou tells BBC Sportsound: "The important thing is we're there. It should be a great occasion. It's something this club wants to continue in.

"It's a tough opponent, but as I said the most important thing is we're there. St Johnstone had a tremendous run last year. They did well in Europe as well. Irrespective who you play it's going to be a tough game."

The Australian also confirms Greek striker Georgios Giakoumakis didn't come off the bench as "he did his calf in the warm-up".

"We've sent him for a scan to see how bad it is," he adds.

  10. The bar rising for Hibernianpublished at 22:07 British Summer Time 23 September 2021

    FT: Dundee United 1-3 Hibernian

Hibernian manager Jack Ross tells Premier Sports that "the bar has been raised" at Easter Road as his side reached their fifth consecutive cup semi-final.

He said: "If I'm being really picky I think in the second half we could have made better decision making, but it's a really strong performance. We were ruthless in the first half, we carried that attacking intent like we have all this season. When you give yourself that creative platform you expect to win the game.

"We encourage players to play forward all the time and he [Scott Allan] is the one to brave enough to do it all the time. And we want Joe Newell to do the same so I'm pleased to see him get forward and get on the scoresheet."

  11. Short and not so sweetpublished at 22:06 British Summer Time 23 September 2021

    FT: Dundee United 1-3 Hibernian

Dundee United manager Thomas Courts' interview with Premier Sports was cut short by the broadcaster, but he managed to say: "Bitterly disappointed. For us the performance levels, outside the first 15 minutes, I thought the boys were outstanding.

"We controlled large parts of the game, but a couple of key decisions went against us."

  18. 'We'll learn from this' - McGlynnpublished at 21:57 British Summer Time 23 September 2021

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Raith Rovers

Raith boss John McGlynn tells BBC Sportsound: "I've not got any complaints, the best team won.

"They were worthy of three goals. I thought our guys put everything into it.

"We managed to keep them at bay for a large spell. Jamie MacDonald wasn't making save after save. You can always do better, but I'm delighted with our run in the League Cup.

"We'll learn from this and we'll be better for it."

  20. Hampden will be 'a good buzz'published at 21:53 British Summer Time 23 September 2021

    FT: Dundee United 1-3 Hibernian

Hibernian midfielder Scott Allan tells Premier Sports: "I've had to be patient, I had to make an impact and I felt I did that tonight.

"To come here and win 3-1 in the quarter-final of the cup, it's a big win for us."

Fellow goalscorer Martin Boyle would not be drawn on whether the penalty which he scored should have been awarded.

"It's not my job to give them, its just to score them.

"We're back at Hampden and the fans can come this time so it'll be a good buzz."
