  1. HALF-TIME Dundee United 0-3 Hibernianpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 23 September 2021

It's been an action-packed cup tie at Tannadice, and already Hibs look like they have one foot in the semi-final.

Joe Newell gave them an early lead, but United had big chances to level though Peter Pawlett and Ryan Edwards.

However, Scott Allan doubled Hibs' lead, before a controversial penalty award right on half-time has led to Martin Boyle adding a third.

Is there any way back for the home side?

  2. HALF-TIME Celtic 2-0 Raith Roverspublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 23 September 2021

The half-time whistle blows at Celtic Park and the home side are well on their way to Hampden.

Raith started well and frustrated the hosts for over 25 minutes, but Jota's first Celtic goal and a Liel Abada header 14 minutes later have Ange Postecoglou's men cruising.

Could be a long second half for Raith.

Celtic two to the good and it's as easy as they come for Abada.

Jota does all the work, breaking into the box and drilling a shot towards goal that Jamie MacDonald parries, but Abada is on hand to nod home a close-range rebound.

Big chance for Dundee United to level, but Hibs are furious play was allowed to continue.

Kieran Freeman clatters into Hibs' Lewis Stevenson but referee Willie Collum plays on, and Peter Pawlett should hit the target from inside the box but instead blasts it over.

Hibs' Scott Allan has been a busy boy in the first 20 minutes.

He provided the assist for the opening goal, almost provided a second only to see the defender cut it out, made a brilliant challenge on the edge of the box as United broke, and then is yellow carded for what referee Willie Collum has indicted was his fourth foul of the game.

Moments later, he barges over a United player and the home support - who are now booing his every touch - are shouting for a red card.

The Portuguese winger has his first Celtic goal and it's made by a perfect James McCarthy pass.

The midfielder splits a stubborn Raith defence and Jota takes it in his stride and lifts the ball over Jamie MacDonald.

    Well-worked goal.

Celtic not really firing so far. Anthony Ralston is fed the ball on the overlap on the right side, but his cross is far too deep and sails high over the box and out.

Raith are sitting deep, but look untroubled so far.

While there's already been action on Tayside, it's slow and steady stuff at Celtic Park. The visitors have arguably started the brighter of the two, but little to report. yet.
