Sancho finally plays on the right. VDB bossing midfield. Why has it taken so long? How can a manager take so long to try different things? Even if United win Ole still has to go.

    JB

The irony of Donny Van de Beek coming on to save Ole. Surely not.

    Watford 2-1 Man Utd

Huge chance for Cristiano Ronaldo. You'd put your chocolate bar on him scoring that.

It's a lovely ball slid into the United forward's path and he only has Ben Foster to beat, but the Watford keeper is out quickly and Ronaldo's effort flicks off him and over the crossbar.

It's crazy the change in Man United's attitude since the goal - they're quick to react and trying to get the ball forward. It's amazing what a goal does.

Andrew Mitchell: The irony if Donny Van De Beek begins the comeback that buys Ole more time

Stuart Mitchell: VDB scores for Man utd. That alone should be reason enough for him to start games going forward.

G: Yeah so the guy whose career was pretty much destroyed by Ole now scores a header to potentially start a comeback for the manager who wronged him. Can't fault the guys mentality

David de Gea has to make a smart save with his feet to keep United from falling two goals behind again and then Cristiano Ronaldo wants a penalty for a shove in the back at the other end, but he was offside.

It's amazing, as bad as Man United have been they are now back in this game. It's a well worked goal - Jadon Sancho on the right-hand side swings a dangerous ball in. I think Cristiano Ronaldo is going for goal, hitting it back across goal but Donny van de Beek taps it in with his head. A simple goal but a well-worked one.

    United are back in it!

And it's the forgotten man... Donny van de Beek only came on at half-time but it has taken him just five minutes to make an impact.

Jadon Sancho's cross from the right is smartly headed back across goal by Cristiano Ronaldo and Van de Beek nods into an empty net.

    Game on.

An absolute scorcher from Maxwell Cornet, who watches the ball drop on to his boot and lashes a thunderous volley into the top corner from a tight angle.
