Leicester are going to have to do something - it's wave after wave at the moment. They can't keep the ball for more than three or four passes. Chelsea look really dangerous and Leicester just can't really get to grips with it.

It's a decent free-kick position for Chelsea - Mason Mount fancies it.

    Leicester City 0-1 Chelsea

Antonio Rudiger has scored more Premier League goals against Leicester (4) than any other side, with four of his last five in the competition coming against the Foxes.

He only scored three goals in the whole of the 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns and all three came against Leicester - two in a 2-2 draw at the King Power in February 2020 and one in Chelsea's vital 2-1 victory over the Foxes in May.

Armchair football fan: I wonder if Brendan has gone a bit stale at lcfc? Seems to be the same defensive problems over and over. A very good manager mind, so not saying sack him, just maybe he needs more of a squad refresh.

    Oooh!

Jorginho pings it over the top for N'Golo Kante. He's charged down by Kasper Schmeichel, the rebound falls for Kai Havertz and his shot is blocked.

Reece James then has a crack from a tight angle but his effort is blocked too! Desperate defending from Leicester.

If you're the Leicester manager you're tearing your hair out there - it's a free header right on the six-yard line in the middle of the goal and Antonio Rudiger has just looped it back to the back post.

You can set out your game plan and work on it all week, this is what we're going to do and how we're going to stop them playing and then you give away a goal like that. Crazy stuff.

The frustrating thing for Brendan Rodgers will be that Leicester haven't even got into the game yet.

Jamie Vardy's break down the left - which almost created an opening for Ademola Lookman - is the only look-in they have had.

    It's been coming!

Antonio Rudiger, who has been the best player on the pitch so far, flicks it into the far corner.

Ben Chilwell gets the assist with the corner delivery.

The league leaders are up and running.

Ben Chilwell curls it into the box for Callum Hudson-Odoi but it's straight out for a goal kick.

Thomas Tuchel is flapping his arms a few moments later as N'Golo Kante's pass is also poor...

Ademola Lookman has a few tricks up his sleeve. He skips past Jorginho but is tracked back by Ben Chilwell.

Kai Havertz then makes a run in behind but Antonio Rudiger's ball is too heavy.

There's a few reasons that Leicester haven't really settled down - a few changes that Brendan Rodgers has made, tinkering with the formation and trying to get different messages across.

Ademola Lookman has come in and he's a good player so they're trying to accommodate him, they've had a few injuries along the way. The team today, other than Youri Tielemans, is probably the strongest side Leicester can put out.

It's always interesting to see when players get back from the international break, they don't get much of a break but the Chelsea squad is big enough for the manager to spot who is fresh and who's ready to go again. I don't think they'll be too many poor performances today but it's an interesting game.

Two decent sides - Leicester haven't really got going yet and Chelsea are pushing for the title and will be there or there abouts at the end of the season.

    Ahhh, it should be 1-0!

Ben Chilwell, the former Leicester full-back who has been booed with every touch so far, is played in behind by Antonio Rudiger.

He drives into the box, only has the keeper to beat but smacks it onto the crossbar.

    Huge chance!
