  5. 'Conte is a master'published at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    Tottenham v Leeds (16:30 GMT)

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa on Antonio Conte: "In football it is difficult to create something that has not been seen before. What does unify all the coaches is the virtues they extract from the players that they coach.

"That demands how you prepare them and convince them. I think in those two aspects, to prepare them and convince them, he is a master."

  6. 'Do Everton have a Plan B?'published at 16:23 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    FT: Man City 3-0 Everton

    Sylvain Distin
Former Manchester City and Everton defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Everton have had so many [managerial] changes that I feel even the players are confused. Yes, they have injuries but it's not their first season in the Premier League.

Injuries are going to happen and if you've only got one player who can score goals and you decide that's the one you're going to stick with then fine.

But it's a gamble. If he has a bad run of form or picks up an injury you know you have no Plan B.

I don't want to believe that is the way Everton are run now. They should have planned for this because injuries are part of football.

  7. 'We controlled the game'published at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    FT: Man City 3-0 Everton

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to Sky Sports: "We gave rhythm into our game, they defended really well, so deep, on the counter-attack. In general we controlled the game. We played the game we should play to beat teams like Everton."

On Manchester City's second goal: "It was great, the strike was amazing. Great goal.

"When one team comes just to defend it is always going to be difficult and you have to be careful. Everything is going to be well in the right moment. The quality of the players we have made the difference."

On penalty decision: "I didn't see it."

On Raheem Sterling's goal: "I know him quite well. Since I arrive he has been a key player for us. He has to perform like he performed today and I am happy for him. He did a great job."

On Cole Palmer: "He played almost 90 minutes. He has more experience. He is a huge talented player. It was difficult with not much spaces there but he played a good game and he will improve in the future as he is so young."

  8. 'World class Kane'published at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    Tottenham v Leeds (16:30 GMT)

    Chris Powell
England coach on BBC Radio 5 Live

Harry Kane's mind-set never changes. It's never in doubt. You are talking about a world class striker who has come through the system at Tottenham and he's undoubtedly going to break the England goalscoring record by a country mile.

He's done it consistently for club and country over a number of seasons and that will continue.

It's well known what happened in the summer and what could have happened. It's not happened so we have just got to look forward to Harry Kane performing for Spurs and England.

  9. 'Incredible feeling'published at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    FT: Man City 3-0 Everton

    Manchester City

Manchester City midfielder Rodri on his stunning goal: "Fortunately it was in - a beauty. It is the feeling... imagine the strikers scoring 20 goals, I score two or three and I'm the happiest man. It's an incredibe feeing. I was watching the screen to realise the goal I scored."

On the title race: "We know it's going until the last games of the season, with lots of contenders. We have to be ourselves and if we keep the same way we will be in fighting."

There's a drone flying over the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium which is lit up in all its glory as night begins to fall.

The ground looks absolutely magnificent. A work of art.

  11. 'We're talking about a world class striker'published at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    Tottenham v Leeds (16:30 GMT)

Harry Kane scored has scored seven times for England since Tottenham's last Premier League game, a 0-0 draw at Everton on 7 November.

"We are talking about a world class striker," said Spurs boss Antonio Conte when asked about Kane, who now has 48 England goals.

"He is an important player for us. To score is a boost for him.

"I have the opportunity to know him much more. He wants to train very hard and improve. That is fantastic for me because my first task is to bring the players to another level. Many players can do this."

  13. 'Leeds lacking something defensively'published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    Tottenham v Leeds (16:30 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

Leeds are another team who I think are lacking something defensively.

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte still hasn't had much chance to work with his players since he took charge at the start of the month.

But they should create plenty of chances here. If Harry Kane is firing, they will win comfortably enough.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-0

  14. Postpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    Tottenham v Leeds (16:30 GMT)

We're about 20 minutes from kick-off in our second game.

Tottenham can move above Manchester United into seventh if they mark Antonio Conte's first Premier League home game with a win against Leeds.

  15. 'Worrying times for Everton'published at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    FT: Man City 3-0 Everton

    Rob Green
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

What is worrying for Everton is the players who are out for them have been two or three weeks away for about two months. It is worrying because they are so reliant on those top players, like Calvert-Lewin and Doucoure, and they can't be a top team without them.

  16. 'We are outstanding right now'published at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    FT: Man City 3-0 Everton

    Manchester City

Manchester City's Rodri, speaking to Sky Sports: "It's always difficult after international break. The crowd realised how good we are at this moment of the season. I think we are outstanding right now.

"Of course very happy with my goal, I don't score many. Many times I don't have the opportunity to shoot as I pass, but at that moment I felt it, kind of a rocket.

"Very happy because the goal was a beauty."

On Raheem Sterling scoring: "A special day for everyone. It has not been a good time for him but he showed his personality today. He has been such an important player for the club the last years. We need him. I am very glad and happy for him. He deserved this. He trained so well this week."

Manchester City are back up to second in the table - three points behind leaders Chelsea and one ahead of third-placed Liverpool.

It's Paris St-Germain next for Pep Guardiola's side in the Champions League on Wednesday.

That has all the makings of being an absolute belter under the Etihad lights.

  19. Postpublished at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    FT: Man City 3-0 Everton

A frustrated looking Rafa Benitez is waiting on the side of the pitch for his players to leave. He has another busy week with his players on the training pitch before they head to Brentford next Sunday.

Surely they need something from that before the Merseyside derby on 1 December.
