  1. 'Changes likely to come'published at 20:52 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

    Billy Dodds
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

If we don't do something in the first 10 or 15 minutes of the second half I think we'll see some changes. We haven't worked their goalkeeper enough. However, we need to organise ourselves going back the way too.

  2. Postpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

Check over. Offside was the correct call.

  3. Postpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroes Islands 0-0 Scotland

Ryan Christie is getting joy down the left as he gets into the box and goes down under a challenge.

The flag is up for offside, but there is now a VAR check ongoing...

  4. Postpublished at 20:49 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroes Islands 0-0 Scotland

Scotland start on the front foot as Ryan Christie wins a corner.

Billy Gilmour swings in the set-piece but it's dealt with on the second phase by the hosts.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    We're back off and running.

Let's hope for an improved second half like Saturday.

  6. Congested Scotlandpublished at 20:44 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    HT: Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

    Neil McCann
Former Scotland winger on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

When Christie drops into midfield, it's proving hard for the defenders to find the gaps and get any through balls to the forward players.

  8. A repeat would do just finepublished at 20:42 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    HT: Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

I'm not expecting Scotland to score eight in the second half, but I'll take one at this rate!

  9. 'We're not doing the basics right'published at 20:39 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    HT: Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

    Billy Dodds
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

They're a physical team and I knew they'd sit deep and be condensed. We've not done enough, though. A few long balls troubled us straight from the go. They've cut us open because we aren't doing the basics right.

  10. Fraser's been 'quiet'published at 20:37 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    HT: Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

    Neil McCann
Former Rangers winger on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

We've not seen much of Fraser. He is in the side to get high up, face up to the wing-back, get ammunition into the box or score himself.

  11. HALF-TIME Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotlandpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

The half comes to an end with home keeper Gestsson cutting out a driven cross from Scott McTominay.

It's been a sobering half of football for Scotland as they go into the interval lucky to be level with the hosts.

Much, much better is required in the second half from Steve Clarke's men if they are to get the win they need.

  12. 'Clarke will be anxious'published at 20:32 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

    Neil McCann
Former Scotland winger on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

I think Steve Clarke will be quite anxious. This is a big game for Scotland to go and secure three points which we all believe should be well within this side's reach, and Clarke will know that.

  13. CLOSE!published at 20:31 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

Better from Scotland as Kieran Tierney gets down the left and finds Lyndon Dykes at the edge of the box.

The striker lays off Scott McTominay who tries to place one, but it sails over.

  14. 'Goalless at break would be kind to Scotland'published at 20:29 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

If we go in at half-time with the score at 0-0 then we are very, very, very fortunate. I could probably add a fourth 'very' on there too, they've had excellent chances.

  15. Postpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

Yet another hopeful loge-range pass from Scotland sails beyond the Faroes byeline.

Steve Clarke's men have been wasteful in possession.

  16. CLOSE!published at 20:26 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

Faero, former Forfar defender, lines up a shot from range that takes a nick of Grant Hanley and whistles past the post.

Can't really believe I'm saying this but I think Scotland need half-time.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

Ryan Christie jumps into a challenge with his elbows raised and takes the first booking of the night.

That means he misses the trip to Moldova next month.

  18. Postpublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

If things don't change quickly, you would imagine this man will have some words to say at the break...

  19. Postpublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

    Faroe Islands 0-0 Scotland

Great run from Ryan Christie who is played down the left into the box.

The Bournemouth man has plenty of time to pick a pass but no one is moving for him and the cross is cleared easily enough.

  20. Zahavi on target for Israelpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 12 October 2021

Israel strike first in Group F this evening, with Eran Zahavi opening the scoring against Moldova.
