When you come into a tournament like this, you want to stay in the game as much as you can. It is disheartening and Kenny Shiels won't be happy at conceding the second so quickly.

Quite clearly there have been some individual errors and you can't afford to give good players time and space.
As much as we all speak about Northern Ireland's change of style, it's been their downfall. They're getting caught on the ball too much.
It's about mixing it up. Don't be predictable. If it's not working you have to change it.

A tough first half for Northern Ireland comes to an end with dominant Norway dominant leading 3-0.
Those two early goals from Blakstad and Maanum made an already difficult task even harder, with Graham Hansen's penalty adding to their woes.
Will manager Kenny Shiels make changes at half-time?

Another smart save from Jackie Burns.
Northern Ireland want to hear that half-time whistle.

Northern Ireland ending a tough first half on a positive note with a snapshot from Simone Magill that flashes just wide.
She has looked dangerous at times, though she has had very few opportunities to get on the ball.

Natasha Dowie
Reading and England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live
The tough thing for Northern Ireland - and I've been there - is that they're defending for most of the game. They're 3-0 down and when they get the ball they know how important is it to keep it, so they can't play with the relaxed flair Norway are showing.
If they can get in to half-time at 3-0, I think they'll change formation. This formation hasn't worked for them.

Kenny Shiels can't believe it. He was actually looking over the shoulder of the referee as the VAR check was being conducted and had to be gently ushered back by the fourth official.
Jackie Burns guessed the right way but Caroline Graham Hansen duly delivered.

Northern Ireland need strong leadership now, they need courage.
There was too much power in the penalty from Graham Hansen, even though Burns went the right way.
Caroline Graham Hansen (31 mins)
There was a long delay as VAR checked a Nadene Caldwell handball from a corner.
A penalty was given and Caroline Graham Hansen's shot was too powerful for Jackie Burns, who got her hand to it but couldn't keep it out.
Big VAR call. Kenny Shiels not happy.

Ada Hegerberg from six yards out? You'd put your house on it.
But there was Abbie Magee with a stunning block. I've no idea how she managed to get a touch on that. Superb defending.
It's these little lifts that will help keep Northern Ireland fighting.
Norway 2-0 Northern Ireland
Abbie Magee may just have stolen the 'best block of the match' award from Sarah McFadden.
Ada Hegerberg was lining up a shot and, from nowhere, the NI defender came sliding in with an outrageous block.
Norway 2-0 Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland have their first proper effort on goal.
It was a good one, too, with Lauren Wade firing just wide with a fine strike from the edge of the box.
Encouraging for Kenny Shiels' side.
