It is a glorious turn putting her through on goal, she opens up her body and slides in a nerveless finish past Jackie Burns.

What a problem to have for Sarina Wiegman - do I start a prolific goalscorer or do I bring a prolific goalscorer off the bench? Ellen White and Alessia Russo are both the same so it's a terrific position for her to be in.

England started the first half on the back foot and allowed Northern Ireland into the game but at the start of this second half England have taken the game to Northern Ireland. That is a wonderful header as Russo guided it inside the far post.

That's the second game in a row Alessia Russo has come off the bench to score for England. She's had such a good season for Manchester United and if she keeps finding the back of the net in this tournament, Sarina Wiegman will have a real selection headache.

Alessia Russo has everything - she's strong, can hold the ball up and make runs in behind, she's quick and she's good in the air.
That's a beautiful team goal - terrific. Disappointing again from NI but you come out after half time at 2-0 down and see those substitutions and it is hard - this could be a long second half for them.

She came off the bench to head in against Norway and does so again tonight, backpeddling but guiding a lovely cushioned header into the bottom corner from Beth Mead's cross.

The fear is if NI open up and over commit too many players forward because England have the players to and pick them off. I wouldn't say it's damage limitation but it'll be similar tactics to the first half - defend deep and in numbers and have a bit more belief in the final third.
If you're one on one in the final third can you drive forward and get a shot off rather than looking to pass out all the time.

All credit to Northern Ireland. They've been really disciplined up until the last five or 10 minutes of that half. The formation's worked and they limited England which we didn't see Norway do at all. There are some things come out of that first half that Sarina Wiegman won't be happy with and that can be addressed ahead of the quarter-final.
NI need to look at the game as 0-0 again and approach the second half the same way they approached the first part of the first half.
