I feel breathless just watching it. We’ve seen some fantastic skill and combination play down the sides from the French, and we’ve seen some really intricate play in front of the French box from the Dutch.

The positioning is probably the most important element of what we're seeing from the Dutch defence at the moment.

They're clearly very, very well drilled.

After Wendie Renard is beaten in the air from the initial free-kick, the ball is sent back in by the team in blue for the big defender to head down for Grace Geyoro to fire a shot that is blocked near the line again by Stefanie van der Gragt.

Melvine Malard couldn’t quite prepare her body enough to receive the ball. It took her aback a little when the ball landed at her feet.

If this gets to half-time 0-0, France are going to be kicking themselves.

Wow. How did that stay out?! That looked surely the moment France's pressure was about to tell - what a block on the line from Stefanie van der Gragt. Last-ditch and then some.

Oh, come on! France are huffing and puffing but somehow the Dutch door remains shut.

A superb move down the right sees Kadidiatou Diani cross for Melvine Malard to control, swivel and shoot on target. The only reason it doesn't find the net is the backtracking Stefanie van der Gragt, who does superbly to block the ball and send it spinning away.

How many chances do the French need?!

The French relationships and partnerships are just so much fun to watch.

They just seem to link up really, really nicely.

Everything done by a player in blue is with greater urgency and purpose. They play with a clear plan to get their pacey forwards into the game. The Dutch look far less certain of themselves or the plan.

The Netherlands need a spark, and perhaps that succession of full-blooded tackles Danielle van de Donk will get them going? They can't get near their French counterparts at the moment.

What a strike it was from Cascarino earlier! This goes through bodies. The Dutch can't clear their lines and it's difficult for Van Domselaar because she probably seen quite late. Luckily, it didn't sneak into the corner.
