England need to get Lauren Hemp into this as much as they can. She's got the German right-back Giulia Gwinn on toast.

Ukrainian referee Kateryna Monzul is one of the most experienced in the tournament, having also officiated in the men's game.

She has her work cut out here though because those two early yellow cards she handed out to England players - which did feel a little soft - have frustrated the home crowd.

Two penalty appeals later and a few more fiery tackles, the crowd are booing any decision going against the hosts.

This game is exactly what we wanted it to be. It has been so competitive, feisty and tackles are flying in.

England have usually been underdogs against Germany. In 2009 we had limited belief in our ability to beat Germany.

From seeing how they've played, there's no doubting this team's self-confidence.

It's a fascinating game. Two very well-matched teams going for it, fully committed. And just to spice it up, we have a referee being a tad inconsistent in her decisions.

Another free-kick goes against England as Lauren hemp pulls back Svenja Huth. This crowd feel the hosts are getting a raw deal.

Mark: This ref is a joke! The German players getting away with all sorts but the England players being targeted.

And now claims for a penalty at the other end!

England sling the ball into the Germany box and it results in a sliced shot from Georgia Stanway that hits a German defender.

It looks like the arm was down by the side, though, so this isn't going to be a spot-kick.
