I was intrigued to see how England would set-up, particularly after Alex Popp's late withdrawal. She is so dangerous in the six-yard area so I thought Millie Bright might occupy that area a bit more to keep her out of the game, therefore space on the edge of the box could open up for Germany. They have had a few chances from that area in the opening 13 minutes.

Rachel Daly is required to get in a block now, to stop Svenja Huth's cross reaching the box. It is a German corner, though.

You don't want England players backing off and giving German players licence to pull the trigger.

It has been an even opening. Both teams have had chances to score. Germany perhaps looking a bit calmer on the ball.

Very aggressive start from Germany. Lauren Hemp thought she had space to run down the left, but such are the recovery runs from the German players.

One of the questions was where Svenja Huth would start. She's on the right, up against Rachel Daly. That'll be a key battle.

That German high-pressing game is in full swing already.

Rachel Daly is quickly closed down by two players and sent to the turf. No foul. Huge boos from the home fans, who are taking no prisoners.

From watching previous games, I always thought England would need to ride out a five-minute onslaught.

We saw Fran Kirby do that against Sweden, at her best. She looks in a similar mood at Wembley today.
