Brentford need to get some quality on to give them that impetus. Maybe it hasn't worked. They miss Ivan Toney. They have been direct and a threat but they have not caused enough issues for Daniel Bachmann.

Tom Cleverley is the man whose number is up, with Joao Pedro receiving some final instructions from Claudio Ranieri.

The 20-year-old Brazilian is more of attacking player than Cleverley, so an interesting move from the Watford boss.

Some pushing and shoving on the touchline between Tom Cleverley and Mads Roerslev over something or other.

That's likely to be Cleverley's last bit of action too...

That was brilliant from Joshua King with the recovery run to make that challenge. The free-kick was poor from Tom Cleverley and King actually overtook him to help him out. It's good team play.

This is a real midfield scrap, neither side managing to dictate possession.

Watford win a free-kick in a dangerous position on the right, but Tom Cleverly weakly hits it at the first defender.

Imagine those who came up from the back will not be happy.

Brentford midfielder Mathias Jensen bounces off Moussa Sissoko like a pinball off a bumper, so responds with a shove on the Frenchman which gives away a free-kick.

And to prove the point, Bees keeper Alvaro Fernandez hooks a kick out of play for a throw-in. Same trajectory as a 28-handicapper with a driver.

A scrappy start to the second half is the most polite way to describe the past few minutes.
