    Jonathan Woodgate
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

That was a good save from Ederson - his feet must be in ice blocks but he's concentrated all game and he's pulled off a great save there.

  5. 'Man City have been fortunate'published at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2021

    Man City 1-0 Wolves

    Jonathan Woodgate
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Man City have been very fortunate because they haven't really created that many chances. Jose Sa hasn't had that many saves to make.

Defensively, Wolves have done really well considering they're down to 10 men. The fans are getting a bit tetchy now and this could lead into something.

    Another chance!

The corner isn't dealt with and it bounces dangerously off a Wolves player in the middle.

Luckily, the pace is taken off it and Ederson gathers it in.

    ALMOST!!!

Wolves haven't had a chance all second half but they get a HUGE chance here.

It's Daniel Podence on the left with the cross and Max Kilman nods it towards goal. Ederson has to tip it over!

Got to feel sorry for Wolves. A yellow that's extremely harsh followed by a second floor yellow that's correct but never usually done, then a penalty that just wrong.

  10. CLOSE!published at 90+1 mins

    Man City 1-0 Wolves

    Brilliant defending from Max Kilman!

It's cut-back to Phil Foden in the six-yard area and he thinks he's scored.

Kilman comes out of nowhere to put an excellent block in! What a player he's been for them this season.

Raheem Sterling isn't one for a long-range screamer. He has so much time though so he has a go and it's a tame effort.

MJC: My rule of thumb for a pen is would you accept it against your own team. Cannot believe any city fan would be accepting that against them. City are good enough without rubbish decisions like that.

  13. CLOSE!published at 88 mins

    Man City 1-0 Wolves

    Ooft.

Oleksandr Zinchenko picks out Phil Foden in the box. He turns sharply and hits it early but it's too close to Jose Sa.

Willy Caballero is still going strong at 40.

This is his first Premier League start for 15 months and was on the bench when Chelsea won the Champions League in May.

The Argentine has signed a short-term deal with Southampton after injuries to first and second-choice keepers Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster.

"He's a smart guy, a top professional, very fit. He comes in with a real willingness to help us," says Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Caballero was Chelsea's keeper when Arsenal won the 2020 FA Cup final.
