That doesn't make any sense, Kerlastyl Roken.

It would mean you can go around kicking anyone on the pitch and be able to get away with it.

Kerlastyl Roken: Can't give a pen when the ball is long gone and Wilson was going nowhere and wasn't denied any chance of anything

Dan Brooker: Can someone explain in in the interests of consistency and fairness why Chelsea have been made to play this game today?

Christopher Newton: Every time I watch Wolves they rarely look like conceding. Unfortunately, they rarely look like scoring too.

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wolves have created a couple of really clear-cut chances, the Leander Dendoncker header was the best of them all. Wolves will be disappointed they have not gone in with the lead.

They will feel hard done to, they have worked really hard and really well to stop the likes of N'Golo Kante getting on the ball.

Chelsea's form and the style in which Manchester City and Liverpool are brushing teams aside, if you are looking to compare, Chelsea are not even in this title race. Is this just a moment?

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

The half-time whistle goes. Another underwhelming Chelsea performance so far.

  9. Postpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

Referee Martin Atkinson and his assistants are getting a rough reception from the home supporters as they make their way down the tunnel.

  10. Postpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea are ending the half on the front foot. It's been a couple of minutes of attacks without creating a real chance.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Newcastle 0-2 Man City

A few jeers ring around St James.

Two goals, "the stupid and the stupendous" says MOTD commentator Guy Mowbray.

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wolves are stifling Chelsea in the midfield, it's 3 v 2 or 2 v 1 with Raul Jimenez dropping in and becoming an extra midfielder when Chelsea have the ball.

  13. CLOSE!published at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Newcastle 0-2 Man City

Almost game over on the stroke of half-time.

Forward Gabriel Jesus works a yard for himself down the left edge of the box before drilling a shot across the face of goal and just wide.

Thomas Tuchel is visibly frustrated, every negative adjective you could use, he is making that known to everybody.

  15. CLOSE!published at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Newcastle 0-2 Man City

Chance, and a good one for Newcastle.

It's late in the first half and Ryan Fraser whips in a corner, Ederson is unsure about whether to come or stay, deciding to hop back onto his line and Isaac Hayden sends his weaker from six yards out wide of the post.

The Newcastle midfielder grimaces, he knows he should do better.

  16. Postpublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

Daniel Podence gets the ball near the halfway line, turns and shoots! It's not accurate enough or strong enough and Edouard Mendy scoops it up in the box.

  17. Postpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

Now we have a shot. One on target too.

Daniel Podence whips in a cross from deep and Leander Dendoncker ghosts in behind the defence but heads straight at Edouard Mendy. He should have done better really.

  18. Postpublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Newcastle 0-2 Man City

A real scramble in the City box as Callum Wilson tries to wriggle away but cannot get the shot away.

He eventually squeezes out a pass to Joelinton, but the Brazilian's touch is loose and the chance is lost.

  19. Postpublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

The disallowed goal doesn't count as a shot. That was something at least I suppose.

  20. Postpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

This is a pretty poor game of football really. The only shots have been blocked - we haven't even had a shot go wide or over the bar yet, let alone on target. Let alone in.
