  3. Postpublished at 14:21 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Newcastle 0-1 Man City

A thunderous challenge from Jamaal Lascelles, coming across to the right and taking both the ball and Bernardo Silva.

Almost chopped him up in half there.

  4. Postpublished at 14:20 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

Another scare for Chelsea as Edouard Mendy just about stops Raul Jimenez in the box but then spills it and they clear.

  5. 'Jimenez was interfering'published at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

What brilliant build-up play, we saw almost a carbon copy of that a few moments ago... but that's a late, late offside flag. Raul Jimenez is interfering, he is the one the ball is intended for and Mendy is on the floor trying to make the save.

  6. Postpublished at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

There were 24 seconds between Daniel Podence scoring and the offside flag going up. Hmmm.

  7. Postpublished at 14:17 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

Will that disallowed Daniel Podence goal act as a warning for Chelsea - or encouragement for Wolves that a goal is coming?

  8. Postpublished at 14:17 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Newcastle 0-1 Man City

City playing a dangerous game inside their own box and Kevin de Bruyne is dispossessed by Joelinton before Ryan Fraser sees his shot cleared off the line.

  10. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 14:14 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

Wolves think they're ahead through Daniel Podence.

There's an awful lot of celebrations and then they - and everyone else - see a very late offside flag has gone up.

Marcal laid the ball across the box and Raul Jimenez was offside. He air-kicks and Podence slots home at the back post.

Podence wasn't offside but it would be impossible to argue Jimenez wasn't interfering with play there.

  11. CLOSE!published at 14:12 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Newcastle 0-1 Man City

Newcastle inches away from the equaliser.

City fail to fully clear Callum Wilson's cross and the ball falls for Joelinton 25 yards out.

"Shoooooot," is the cry from the home faithful and the Brazilian obliges, rasping a low drive just wide of the post.

    It had Ederson scrambling.

  12. CLOSE!published at 14:11 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Newcastle 0-1 Man City

    Joao Cancelo, he's a player isn't he?

City earn a free-kick down the left which Kevin de Bruyne lofts all the way to the back post.

Cancelo takes a touch before hammering an outside-of-the-foot drive into the grasp of Martin Dubravka.

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wolves have started really well, some slick play in that final third causing Chelsea problems.

Neither side are free-scoring, Chelsea create a lot of chances and can't convert, Wolves don't create many but tend to nick games.

  16. Postpublished at 14:09 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

The team of plucky amateurs Chelsea have put out are just hanging on.

Wolves win a third corner and Conor Coady heads it across the box but Edouard Mendy, voted the second best keeper in the world at the recent Ballon d'Or, catches it.

  18. goal

GOAL - Newcastle 0-1 Man Citypublished at 14:05 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Ruben Dias (5 mins)

Oh my, WHAT ARE THEY DOING??????

Newcastle have been poor this season, yes, but this is quite incredible defending from the Magpies.

Joao Cancelo does really well to keep a pass alive by hooking the ball back into the six yard box.

Now Ciaran Clark only has to head the ball away and the danger is cleared.

Instead he decides to duck, goalkeeper Martin Dubravka is stuck on his line and Ruben Dias has a gifted wrapped Christmas present as he heads the loose ball into the net from a couple of yards out.

Absolutely mad from Eddie Howe's men.

    Wolves 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea can't get out from that one and it's a second Wolves corner.

A short corner routine doesn't work and eventually Thiago Silva heads away Joao Moutinho's volleyed cross.

  20. Postpublished at 14:04 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2021

    Newcastle 0-0 Man City

Newcastle fans come to life when City give the ball away in the middle of the pitch allowing Miguel Almiron to burst forward.

The Paraguayan gets to the edge of the area unchallenged before Oleksandr Zinchenko nicks the ball away.
