    Barnsley 2-3 Sheff Utd

I hold my hands up - I didn't see this comeback attempt coming.

But it just shows how quickly momentum and confidence can change.

Barnsley looked a thoroughly beaten side but now Sheffield United, who themselves have lost three of their last four, seem incredibly shaky.

    Aaron Leya Iseka

I can't quite believe what I'm seeing. Barnsley have another back!

Belgian striker Aaron Leya Iseka weaves past a couple Sheffield United defenders and thunders the ball into the back of the net.

That's two home subs on the scoresheet and they'll throw the kitchen sink at this now.

  3. goal

    Devante Cole

Wait a minute, Barnsley have scored!

It's a lovely finish from substitute Devante Cole, who takes the ball on his thigh before lashing the ball home for his first goal since rejoining the Tykes this summer.

    There's still time...

Is it going to be just two goals in nine games for Barnsley, after this match?

They've had a chances but they're badly lacking in several areas and would be bottom of the Championship if it wasn't for Derby's 10-point deduction.

The Tykes have brought William Hondermarck on for Liam Kitching, their final change.

    Ben Osborn

Two assists and now a goal for Sheffield United's Ben Osborn.

It's a lovely pull-back to pick out Osborn - who calmly takes a touch and drills in from 12 yards.

I think I can safely say Barnsley won't be scoring three here.

  6. CLOSE!published at 70 mins

    Barnsley 0-2 Sheff Utd

This game has really opened up and Devante Cole has to score there for Barnsley.

The substitute is stretching but the goal is at his mercy, from close range, and the ball somehow goes wide.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 68 mins

    Barnsley 0-2 Sheff Utd

A stinging strike from Barnsley midfielder Jasper Moon cannons off the outside of the post.

Sheffield United keeper Robin Olsen might well have got a touch on that.

The Blades have made a second change, David McGoldrick on in place of Iliman Ndiaye.

  8. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Barnsley 0-2 Sheff Utd

Cauley Woodrow lines up a Barnsley free-kick from range - it has plenty of power but goes comfortably over the bar.

  9. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Barnsley 0-2 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United's double goalscorer Lys Mousset went down the tunnel, which suggests he's probably receiving treatment for a slight niggle.

The game has died down a bit now. Barnsley need to find a second wind, and quick.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 62 mins

    Barnsley 0-2 Sheff Utd

There'll be no hat-trick for Lys Mousset this afternoon.

The Frenchman is replaced by Billy Sharp - you'd imagine that's a planned move, due to a lack of gametime.

Mousset accepts his manager's decision but you wouldn't be surprised if he was a little annoyed!

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    Barnsley 0-2 Sheff Utd

Barnsley replace Victor Adeboyejo, their most lively player in attack, with Devante Cole on in his place.

Markus Schopp made his first change in the aftermath of the second goal, with striker Aaron Leya Iseka replacing Dominik Frieser.

  12. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Barnsley 0-2 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United's number 11 has a new lease of life.

He already has two since half-time and now shoots over under pressure towards the edge of the area.

The Blades are rampant now, they look a different side as they carve out chance after chance.

  13. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Barnsley 0-2 Sheff Utd

Sorry to rub further salt into the wounds, Barnsley fans, but the Tykes haven't scored a second-half goal since their opening-day draw at Cardiff.

The home support are now turning against head coach Markus Schopp, with chants suggesting that he may not be in the job this time tomorrow...

  14. goal

    Lys Mousset

    Mousset 2-0Image source, Getty Images

Sheffield United have another and it's Lys Mousset again!

Ben Osborn gets into a great position out wide and his low cross is expertly converted by the Frenchman for his second goal in less than three minutes.

Barnsley appear to be heading for a sixth defeat on the bounce.

  15. goal

    Lys Mousset

    The deadlock is broken.

Lys Mousset picks the ball up on the right-hand side and is allowed to dribble inside before bending a right-footed shot inside the far post.

The Barnsley defending is questionable but that was incredibly well taken, and Sheffield United lead.

  16. CLOSE!published at 51 mins

    Barnsley 0-0 Sheff Utd

That could've gone anywhere from Sam Baldock!

The Sheffield United full-back's strike takes a deflection and flies agonisingly wide.

Barnsley keeper Brad Collins was helpless.

No half-time changes, so both managers happy to let this one go for another 10-20 minutes you'd expect.

Victor Adeboyejo once again has some joy on the flanks for Barnsley - his cross falls for Cauley Woodrow, whose effort is easily kept out.

We're back under way at Oakwell for the second half.

Sheffield United boss Slavisa Jokanovic looks expectant and, I don't know about you, but I certainly wouldn't want to upset the Serbian.

Ten Championship fixtures took place on Saturday and there were headlines made both on and off the pitch.

Bournemouth maintained their unbeaten start to the season and their lead at the top with a 3-0 home win against Huddersfield.

West Brom climbed to second after beating Bristol City by the same scoreline in a match which was twice delayed while spectators at the Hawthorns received medical assistance.

Elsewhere, Middlesbrough won at Cardiff City to inflict an eighth straight defeat on the Bluebirds and call time on Mick McCarthy's reign as manager.

There were also wins for Birmingham, Blackburn, Blackpool, Luton, Millwall and Peterborough.

Coventry and Derby shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
