It's been a heated encounter.

Chelsea are no doubt frustrated they have not been able to open the scoring despite dominating with the ball, but they have managed just one shot on target.

Spurs had the ball in the net through Harry Kane, but he was ruled to have shoved Thiago Silva.

And that's the break!

Chelsea patiently try to work an opening before Cesar Azpilicueta undercooks a pass and Tottenham prod clear.

For me Thiago Silva had over-gambled on that ball in towards Harry Kane and momentum would have taken him past it anyway, if Kane hadn't put his hand on the back of Silva he'd have got away with it.

Yes there was a very small hand in the back from Kane but not enough to make a difference really there for me.

But yet more great play from Steven Bergwijn. He just needs to hold onto the ball a bit longer and drive at Silva, he's such a key player for Tottenham at the moment.

Thiago Silva is up well to get a head on yet another Chelsea corner but can only steer his effort over the crossbar. Tottenham are having to endure a bit of a barrage.

It's getting a little tasty. Thomas Tuchel is throwing his arms around on the touchline after Japhet Tanganga heaves Callum Hudson-Odoi off the ball - he got booked a few moments ago but the decision this time is play on.

Was there enough in that for a foul? Thiago Silva did get a slight shove but was probably happy to feel the hand in his back with Harry Kane lurking.

Spurs have it in the net, but it's been ruled out!

Harry Kane cannot believe it. It was a lovely swivel and finish from the England captain, but he pushed Thiago Silva in the build-up to receive the ball.

Chelsea sense a chance to break, with Antonio Rudiger haring forward like it's the Olympic 100m final. The centre back collects the ball in the right wing position but Eric Dier does well to get across Romelu Lukaku.

Tottenham get in behind Chelsea for the first time down the left with Ryan Sessegnon.

The winger has Matt Doherty arriving on the right, but neither shoots nor picks out his team-mate and the ball trickles harmlessly across the Chelsea box.

Romelu Lukaku has completely missed his kick there and Thomas Tuchel looks really frustrated, he's out of his technical area.

When you feel the scrutiny is on you as a player, you can sometimes try too hard and it can really affect you mentally. That's what's happening with Lukaku and I'm not sure he's handling that too well, it certainly looks like that.

I'm sure he wants to do so well but he just looks like he's desperate for a goal.

Two hopeful long balls in quick succession from Tottenham fail to find a team-mate and then Japhet Tanganga pushes over Callum Hudson-Odoi and finds himself in the book.

Tottenham deal with another Chelsea corner. The pressure is building again though. The visitors are struggling to get hold of the ball.

Good hold up play from Romelu Lukaku and he plays it left to Callum Hudson-Odoi before carrying on his run into the Spurs box, but the forward is unable to get a flick on the cross.

Another big chance for Romelu Lukaku but he completely misses his kick!

Chelsea draw Tottenham out and then work it down the right with Mason Mount, who fizzes a ball across and Lukaku can only volley thin air.

Thiago Silva has already been booked for a foul on Steven Bergwijn and then bundles over the Spurs forward once more. Got to be a little bit careful, the Chelsea defender.

That's the second time Steven Bergwijn has used his strength and power to drive through Chelsea.

Every opportunity he gets he just needs to run at Chelsea. He has the ability to strike fear into defenders, that's his biggest asset so he needs to use his power and his pace, especially with Thiago Silva now being on a yellow card.

Japhet Tanganga is straight into the back of Callum Hudson-Odoi, hustling the Chelsea winger, who is relieved to win a free-kick.

We're 25 minutes in and it's been all Chelsea, but Tottenham are holding firm so far.
