A major shock is on the cards in Warsaw, which may help Scotland's World Cup cause.

Poland and Scotland are currently level on points in the battle to be seeded for the World Cup play-offs, but the Poles are two places above Scotland on goal difference.

However, Andras Schafer has given Hungary the lead in that one.

Switzerland are being held 0-0 at home to Bulgaria, while Italy are also drawing with Northern Ireland in their battle to finish top in Group C. That means if the current scores stay the same, Scotland will rocket up to second in the table of best runners up.

If that sounds good, then another five goals tonight from Steve Clarke's side will be enough to usurp Portugal from top spot in the table of runners-up. Okay, hands up, officially getting carried away...

There is no coincidence, the delivery to the back post has been the aim from John McGinn every single time. Liam Cooper does incredibly well to put it back across goal and John Souttar is alive to nod it home.

It's a magnificent save from Schmeichel at the front post, absolutely unbelievable. But the low cross in from Billy Gilmour is top notch too.

Excellent hold-up play from Che Adams and he throws his weight around to release Andy Robertson. John McGinn controls the cross but his shot on the turn is charged down.

Another Scotland corner is pinged right on top of Schmeichel, with striker Cornelius lending a hand with a good headed clearance.

A good spell for the hosts.
