    Middlesbrough 1-0 Bournemouth

That was the chance for Isaiah Jones to wrap things up for Middlesbrough.

Bournemouth had a corner which they couldn't get close to goal and a long ball seeks to put Jones away.

He shrugs off Jordan Zemura and races towards goal, takes on Jack Stacey who just slides across to block him with the goal gaping.

Had to make the challenge. Bournemouth stay in it, just.

  2. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Bournemouth

Ten to go. Bournemouth have brought Robbie Brady on for Lewis Cook by the way.

Their expected purple patch hasn't really occurred as expected, as Boro have done well to contain and frustrate, and to be fair, take the game head on.

They can't get possession in clumps, and have been pressed to the point of utter frustration by a tenacious Boro.

Mark Travers beats away another superb, whipping corner from the right, as Boro put the Bournemouth keeper under the pump.

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Bournemouth

Middlesbrough go from 0-60 in mere seconds with another sizzling counter-attack utilising the pace of Isaiah Jones, as Bournemouth strain for defensive cover.

Jonny Howson was the pivot in midfield, swinging a first-time pass from around the centre circle into space down the right, but Jones' delivery was an easy cut out.

It keeps the momentum flowing Boro's way though.

  7. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Bournemouth

Another save for Boro keeper Joe Lumley.

Jamal Lowe takes a Bournemouth cross-fielder on his chest on the right side and skitters in field, before lashing a low shot which Lumley sank low to gather.

Phillip Billing collides with Paddy McNair on the edge of the box, which left the Northern Ireland man limping.

  8. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Bournemouth

Smart save by Joe Lumley from a Junior Stanislas free-kick, which pitched and bounced just in front of him, but he kept his eye on it in the Middlesbrough goal for a save.

Bournemouth can't make anything of the ball back into play, and it's a Boro goal-kick.

Paddy McNair tackles Dominic SolankeImage source, Rex Features

Bournemouth starting to sweep the ball around with purpose but to their credit, Middlesbrough are sticking to the task and shutting down pace.

Dominic Solanke receives a pass (on his hand...) and turns to run at goal before a robust challenge comes in from Paddy McNair.

McNair gets a booking and the Boro skipper is furious.

  10. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth look a little shaky at the back as another curved ball into the channels from Boro sees both Gary Cahill and goalkeeper Mark Travers come for it but the ball is eventually cleared.

Then at the other end, Dominic Solanke gets a sniff of a chance as Jamal Lowe put the ball in, but Dael Fry took it off his toe.

More encouraging from the Cherries though.

  11. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Bournemouth

Joe Lumley races out of his goal to clear a long ball over the top by Bournemouth into touch.

Had to be alert with Dominic Solanke lurking.

Bournemouth lose the ball in midfield, and Phillip Billing stays down for a moment. He's hobbling about.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 61 mins

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Bournemouth

Jamal Lowe comes on for Ryan Christie and Junior Stanislas replaces Jaidon Anthony as Bournemouth ring the changes in a bid to turn this game around.

  13. Postpublished at 58 mins

Matt Crooks attacks a corner from the left but the ball pings wildly off his head and behind for a goal-kick.

Bournemouth feeling the pinch right now.

  14. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Bournemouth

Boro break up a Bournemouth move and Matt Crooks charges into midfield before slipping a pass outside of his boot to the racing Duncan Watmore.

Watmore tries to square it to Andraz Sporar but it's cut out.

The Teessiders recycle it, and Anfernee Dijksteel is chopped down by Phillip Billing, who gets a booking.

    Bournemouth punished by Jones' pace.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 50 mins

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bournemouth

Boro open Bournemouth up, and only Mark Travers denies the hosts the lead.

Andraz Sporar slips onto a perfect throughball behind the Bournemouth defence, and from an angle on the right of the box tries to drill low past Travers, but he denies the Slovenian.

Marcus Tavernier and Duncan Watmore's follow-up efforts are blocked and then fired over respectively.

  18. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bournemouth

Nice period of pressure from the home side, but it falls flat at the finish.

Boro swung a corner into the Bournemouth box which Anfernee Dijksteel nods into the mix. Paddy McNair cuts it back, Marcus Tavernier has a crack which deflects and McNair has another attempt to cross...

It's touched back to Neil Taylor on the edge of the box who adjusts his body position for a shot but scoops it laughably wide.

    HT: Middlesbrough 0-0 Bournemouth

I've done Dorset to Teesside in the car myself, and can't say it was fun. So full credit to the Bournemouth fans who've made it north for this lunchtime kick-off.

Boro fans agree too, and have a banner in solidarity, as shot by BBC Radio Tees presenter Paul Addison.
