The already booked Andre Gomes takes a chance by taking down Allan Saint-Maximin near the edge of the Everton box. No further punishment, but it is a dangerous free-kick...

That was a shocker from Fabian Schar - a clear yellow. Richarlison is exposing his lack of pace.

Chance!
Said Benrahma latches on to a loose ball on the edge of the box but volleys well over.

David Payn: Can't see Burnley escaping relegation this time. So poor in all areas of the pitch apart from the goalkeeper.

Burnley have been outplayed in that half and are fortunate not to be further adrift.
Ralf Rangnick will be concerned as the same could have been said of Middlesbrough at Old Trafford on Friday and that game turned around.
However, Sean Dyche's side lack a touch of class. They are yet to have a shot and it is not clear to see where they might get a goal from.
Newcastle 1-1 Everton
Decent shot, decent save.
Anthony Gordon swings a shot towards the far corner of the net after a short corner but Martin Dubravka plucks it out of the air.
Newcastle 1-1 Everton
This is another poor challenge.
Richarlison is released down the right and beats Fabian Schar, who hacks him down before he can cut in on goal.
It's a yellow for the defender.

It was a free-kick but not sure it was a yellow card.
I would be frustrated if I was Frank Lampard.
Jonjo Shelvey gets booked in the first half for a tackle that could have broken Anthony Gordon's leg, then Andre Gomes gets a yellow for tugging someone's shirt.

Burnley can't get close enough to Manchester United. You can hear how much the fans want to help the team, you can feel how much they want to help make this pitch as small as possible. But United have had all the time in the world. That'll be the key for Sean Dyche at half time, how do they stop them having such comfortable possession?
Newcastle 1-1 Everton
They're getting in each others' way. Two home players go for a knock-down from a free-kick but both miss before Allan Saint-Maximin's effort is blocked.
It came from a free-kick that Andre Gomes conceded and received a booking for.
West Ham 0-0 Watford
Lukasz Fabianski is drawn off his line to slide in and clear the ball as Emmanuel Dennis looks to nip in and capitalise.
Newcastle 1-1 Everton
Jamaal Lascelles became the first player in this season's Premier League to score multiple own goals (also v Brentford). It was Lascelles' fourth own goal since he made his debut for the Magpies in 2015-16 (PL and Championship). No other Newcastle player netted as many own goals in league games since his debut.
Burnley 0-1 Man Utd
The whistle goes for half time and Manchester United lead by the one goal. It perhaps should have been by more but VAR thought otherwise.
The game at the London Stadium gets back under way.
And shortly after, the action returns at St. James' Park.

The same VAR official today for Manchester United as in the FA Cup against Middlesbrough. Four decisions completely wrong. And people insist Man Utd get all the decisions.

Mikesh Patel: Best, most fluid performance for awhile, why? No Ronaldo.
Gareth Hawkins: I thought Joelinton had improved, but based on this performance clearly not. He's having an awful game.
Mark Webb: #NEWEVE = 'blood and thunder' or 'thud and blunder!'
Burnley 0-1 Man Utd
Edinson Cavani picks up the ball as Marcus Rashford's shot is deflected into his path. The striker takes a moment before firing at goal but James Tarkowski makes the block.
Manchester United have another corner and for the 151st time in a row fail to score from one. In fact they let Burnley go and counter but Manchester United manage to get back and defend the danger.

Diogo Dalot has been the major beneficiary of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's exit as Manchester United boss.
The Portugal full-back has usurped Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right-hand side.
Dalot certainly offers more going forward, as he showed with that charge into the box to set Bruno Fernandes up with a shooting chance.
He still has a bit of work to do with his defensive positioning but he looks good tonight.
