Paul: 21 years ago I had dreamt that England were going to win 5-1 in Munich. I risked £1 at 100/1. When Germany scored first I threw the ticket in the bin but fished it out during the 2nd half. Unfortunately I didn't dream the score for tonight.

England boss Gareth Southgate has called on more of his attacking players to start scoring as they prepare to face Germany in the Nations League.

The Three Lions are looking to bounce back in Munich from Saturday's surprise 1-0 defeat by Hungary in Budapest.

Only three players have five goals or more - Harry Kane (49), Raheem Sterling (19) and Harry Maguire (seven).

"What is clear is that in terms of goals, we are heavily reliant on Raheem and Harry," Southgate told BBC Sport.

"There are opportunities for others to step into that fold, because the squad we have got with us, I think Harry Maguire is the next in terms of goals scored.

"We do need those attacking players in particular to step forward and start to give us threats from other areas.

"Bukayo Saka has started to do that and Mason Mount has got the odd goal, but that is the challenge now for this whole group."

    Germany v England (19:45 BST)

England go to Germany on Tuesday in the Nations League in the latest instalment of one of their biggest rivalries.

Gareth Southgate's side beat Die Mannschaft in their last meeting in the Euro 2020 last 16, their first knockout win over their old rivals since the 1966 World Cup final.

Between those games, the Germans had the upper hand in major tournaments - although there was also a very famous win in qualifying for the Three Lions.

BBC Sport looks at some classic meetings between the two.

England's players got a bit of a soaking from the sprinklers when they came out to inspect the pitch at Munich's Allianz Arena. They were, however, made welcome by the sound of "Three Lions" blaring out, which brought a few whistles from the German fans.

It was a 'everyone remembers where they were' moment when England hammered Germany in Munich all those years ago.

Germany had only ever lost one World Cup qualifier at home in their history - but suddenly they were torn apart by an England team playing slick football with a clinical edge up front.

It didn't start well when Carsten Jancker scored the opener for the hosts, but Sven Goran Eriksson's men turned the match around in incredible fashion.

Three Liverpool players were all on the scoresheet with Michael Owen grabbing an unforgettable hat-trick and Steven Gerrard and Emile Heskey netting too.
