  1. Conte is capable at any levelpublished at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

Man City v Tottenham (17:30 GMT)

    Roberto Martinez
Belgium manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

If I was a Spurs fan I would be delighted to see how Antonio Conte can shape their project. He can be emotional to motivate and you saw in the game against Leicester where they went from losing to winning, that is Conte.

He is working on the mentality and personality of the group, he is going to bring players in and you need to give him a list over three windows.

What he did with Inter was one of the hardest jobs in European football, beating Juventus to the Scudetto, and he did it in 12 months. I think he is totally capable of doing that at any level.

The two signings - Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur - are sensational signings they could bring something special.

  2. 'The best feeling'published at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    FT: Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech tells BBC MOTD: "It was a difficult game with only a small number of chances. Then the best feeling to score in the last minute.

"It can be difficult for players to adapt to something new but that is what we have to do as players and be as professional as we can. In the end it is all about results.

"Of course it is hard but that is why you play football, to win trophies. That is what we are trying to do, won two already this season and still four to go."

Is the Champions League more realistic than the Premier League this season? "At this point if we have to choose one, yes."

  3. Conte is a 'fighter' who 'knows the dance'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

Man City v Tottenham (17:30 GMT)

    Kevin Campbell
Former Everton and Arsenal striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Antonio Conte is a very experienced and a very successful manager. He knows the dance and what he needs to do. He probably went into Spurs with the top four being a priority.

He probably thought that Spurs would do a little bit better. The team hit the ground running and you thought he was working his magic but they they have hit a skiddy patch right now.

In January he wanted to really strengthen and they are going through a sticky patch. He knows how to handle it but it is a tough job. He wants them to be a lot further down the line than they are. He is a fighter and will be going for the top four.

Everton and Leeds have to be looking behind them after Burnley and Watford's wins today - this relegation battle might be closer than meets the eye.

Lampard was not the choice to keep Everton up. They shouldn't go down but he is not the manager I'd have chosen.

I hope everyone who has come to Etihad Stadium has wrapped up warm tonight because it’s going to be a cold one. The sun was out here earlier, but the temperature has dropped as we approach kick-off.

On the pitch, top-of-the-table City will be trying to continue their red-hot form that has seen them win 14 out of their past 15 Premier League games.

Tottenham, in contrast, arrive in Manchester on the back of three straight league defeats that have seen them drop to eighth place. No wonder their boss Antonio Conte has been a bit frosty in interviews recently.

  8. 'It woke us up'published at 17:08 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    FT: Liverpool 3-1 Norwich

    Liverpool

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a good Premier League game, Norwich play some good football.

"We went 1-0 down which we were disappointed with but responded, got momentum back, got the goal and the crowd kicked on from there.

"It woke a lot of us up really, the first half we could have scored one or two, but probably gave them one or two more than we would have liked - we made a lot of changes, fresh legs, and I think that helped."

Jon Evans: Embarrassing from Villa. Gerrard might not last very long if they keep playing like this. He was apparently making changes... yet to see them. We need a new midfield.

  10. 'I am always proud to score'published at 17:05 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    FT: Liverpool 3-1 Norwich

    Liverpool

Liverpool forward Mo Salah: "It feels great, we struggled in the beginning but played good football in the first half, we started the second half and conceded a goal so the game became tough - but it is a great result and of course I am happy to score my 150th goal.

"I am always proud to score for this club, the most important thing is the win.

"They lost eight games, won four, so they know how to play and win, it is a tough game - to concede a goal here at Anfield, the crowd was behind us, the atmosphere was unbelievable.

"What we can do is just focus on each game, when you fight with Manchester City, most of the time they win games so we just need to focus on ourselves and see what happens at the end of the season."

Samuel Hutchinson: I genuinely think Everton are in big trouble. Take a look at their run in. Amongst their final seven fixtures, they face Man Uyd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal... Yikes.

Massive trouble is being 2-0 down at half-time on the last day of the season, needing to win to stay up. No panic at Everton yet, we're at last united behind our team and manager. We'll be alright this season.
