Dear Conte, please stop picking Ben Davies. Che Adams had him in his back pocket. Sterling? Foden? De Bruyne - ever heard of them? Just give them the points and save the embarrassment.

That Liverpool win took the Reds to within six points of Manchester City.
City will go nine clear again if they beat Spurs, albeit having played an extra game.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on the tactical changes he made on the hour, prompting his side to turn the game around by 67 minutes: "It’s a coaching team effort. We bring the boys on but change the system as well. It's absolutely necessary in a moment like this you throw all the knowledge you have together.
"The 4-4-2 gave them a proper challenge to deal with. All of a sudden we had better positions and were a proper threat."

Manchester City have earned 43 points from 45 available in the Premier League since losing to Crystal Palace in October. The aggregate score in those matches is 41-8.
City have scored 98 goals in 37 competitive fixtures in 2021-22. It took them until their 45th game of last season to reach a century of goals.

Mark Lawrenson
BBC football expert
Tottenham beat Manchester City on the opening weekend of the season, but there are plenty of reasons it has not turned into the campaign that Spurs fans would have hoped for on the back of that result.
Antonio Conte started really well when he replaced Nuno Espirito Santo as Tottenham boss in November, but their recent form and results have been poor. I don't think they are strong enough defensively but, more than anything, I am just not sure what sort of state they are in psychologically, because all does not seem very happy in their camp.
City? Well they just keep on winning. They took Sporting Lisbon apart in style on Tuesday and it will take something special from Tottenham to get something at Etihad Stadium. I don't see it happening.
Prediction: 2-0

BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium
Much was made of how Manchester City needed a new centre-forward to replace Sergio Aguero when they lost 1-0 to Tottenham on the opening weekend of the season, and their failure to land Spurs striker Harry Kane meant the noise didn't stop for a few weeks longer, especially when Pep Guardiola's side failed to score in five of their first 16 games of the season.
Now? Goals are not an area of concern for City, who will make it 100 in all competitions this season if they hit two tonight.
It is actually Kane who is suffering a drought at the moment, with no goals in his past three league games and only five all season. If he is hoping to join City this summer, then tonight might be a good time to remind Pep Guardiola why he wanted to bring him to Etihad Stadium in the first place.

Josh Earl: Can't see anything but absolute Manchester City domination and Spurs parking the bus from the off. Even more so after seeing the team selection. Lloris may be busy.
Man City v Spurs (17:30 GMT)
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham are looking to avoid losing four successive Premier League games for the first time since a run of six defeats between October and November 2004.
They have conceded seven goals in their past three top-flight matches, one more than they did in their first nine under Antonio Conte.

I don't understand what's going on at Villa. We have a good squad but are so inconsistent. Stevie G needs to earn his crust sharpish!

Liverpool
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp:, speaking to Match of the Day: "It had its moments, the longer the game went on the more I could enjoy it, obviously. A week or go when we played at Burnley, they give you a proper fight and over the years you learn to deal with these situations, again today. Norwich have a very different style but played a proper game, defended deep, had their counter attacks, made it really tricky for us.
"We had moments and then the game can look completely different, then a deflected ball can be pretty decisive, but these boys just don't give up, we could help from the bench, bringing really good players on and that was like three days ago the game changer.
"We played really good football and scored wonderful goals. The coaching team, we changed the system as well, go for 4-4-2 and that is necessary in a moment like this that you throw all the knowledge you have together - it gave them a proper challenge to deal with because all of a sudden we were a threat in all moments.
"Thiago with his passing, really fresh, really relaxed, full of confidence, that helped as well. He is a good player, we just have to make sure we can keep him fit.
"Diogo (Jota) was not available and we don't know how long it will take, Bobby Firmino has a muscle problem and is out for a while, so we have to keep the boys fit and create a spirit like the boys did today in the game."
On Mo Salah's 150th goal for Liverpool: "Outstanding, great number, he played a different position and did exceptionally well, then when he played the natural position he did well again."
