    Final Score

Kick-off now confirmed as 3.30 here at the Amex after the Aston Villa team coach was caught in traffic, and arrived at 2.30.

As someone who took three hours to get here from London this morning, it's not too surprising - it seems a lot of people have opted to come down to the gloriously sunny south coast this weekend!

Originally there was hope kick-off would be sooner, but Steven Gerrard was adamant his team needed proper time to warm up, and so a confirmed kick off time was agreed at 3.30.

Brighton are now out warming up! We are also told Brighton have been doing some preparation inside in their indoor facility. Atmosphere starting to build... slowly!

We’re not seeing great performances from Manchester United, they are not blowing teams away but they are in fourth.

It’s not great form in regards to performances but results-wise they are getting over the line and doing what they need to do.

  7. 'We need to defend better'published at 14:51 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2022

    FT: Leeds 0-4 Tottenham

    Leeds United

Leeds boss Marcelo Biesla, speaking to MOTD: "It was a fair defeat. The difference should have been smaller, however. Not so much due to how we played but because of the goals we could have scored.

"The feeling of dominance over the game was for Tottenham.

"The game today there were two clear defined styles. We know clearly how Conte's Tottenham play and obviously what we tried to do you can perceive it. The way they played was not surprising for us and we tried to overcome them but we couldn't manage to take the ball off them in the build up, nor could we neutralise the influence of their forwards.

"We couldn't manage to put them at risk when they built up the play and they managed to find their forwards.

"We need to defend better. We need to make the opponents feel more worried when they have the ball and to try and manage to be able to attack without defending poorly and defend without it preventing us from attacking.

"We would get back and defend quickly after attacking and then attack quickly after defending but we have lost that virtue.

"Evidently there are factors that had a positive influence before but are not having the same impact.

How confident are you that you are the man to keep Leeds up? "I always have confidence in what I can do."

Burnley fans finally have a moment to cheer.

Wout Weghorst has been a breath of fresh air. Since Chris Wood left, Burnley didn’t have an obvious striker to replace him.

He’s great with the ball at his feet, he is dropping into that number 10 position to get the ball and hold it up and feed it into other people.

He’s real quality. The fight for survival is on.

    Man Utd v Watford (15:00GMT)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Obviously Premier League football is fairly insignificant compared to what is happening in Ukraine.

The Russian invasion led to its official airline Aeroflot being banned from the UK, which in turn has led to Manchester United ditching them as a sponsor.

Their name has disappeared from the list of 'partners' in the match programme, although some are wondering why this has happened now given United renewed their contract with Aeroflot after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.

  11. 'Delighted for Eriksen'published at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2022

    FT: Leeds 0-4 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham forward Harry Kane speaking to BT Sport: "Obviously it was a disappointing result against Burnley coming off the back of the Manchester City game it would have been nice to continue the momentum.

"But it is nice to bounce back today. I thought our display was fantastic and we deserved the three points

On his partnership with Son Heung-min: "We've been playing with each other for a long, long time and we understand each others games well. When I drop deep Sonny knows where to run and we enjoy playing together."

On Antonio Conte: "Since he's come in he's tried to put his stamp on the team and I feel like we are getting there. We are sill a team that need to be more consistent and dig out results when we are not playing well.

"He brings great passion to the club every day and on a match day and it is about us responding to what he wants."

On Christian Eriksen's return to football: "Delighted for Chris and hopefully he can play some minutes and get back to playing Premier league football."

The weather here matching the mood of both sets of supporters after their midweek wins.

There was a bit of surprise amongst the Palace fans at their starting line up, I’ve heard Patrick Viera explain “it’s to make them more fluid going forwards”.

Meanwhile, Sean Dyche told us it wasn’t a straightforward decision to name the same side that beat Spurs, with Cornet and Westwood both pushing for a place.

    Final Score at Old Trafford

We have lovely sunshine at Old Trafford which reminds me of the last time I saw a Roy Hodgson team play here back in September 2020 when his Crystal Palace team won 3-1.

I wonder if he can plot another upset today? No surprise that Anthony Elanga starts for United.

Ralf Rangnick is full of praise for him yet again in his programme notes today, describing him as a “talented player” with a “tremendous attitude.”

He seems to be the manager’s favourite player right now and is turning into a fans’ favourite too.

  17. 'Tottenham can tear teams apart'published at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2022

    FT: Leeds 0-4 Tottenham

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa striker on Final Score

    What a reaction from Tottenham.

When they get it right, they can tear teams apart.

When their players perform to the best of their ability, they are a very good side.

  18. 'The manner of Leeds' defeats is worrying'published at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2022

    FT: Leeds 0-4 Tottenham

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5Live

These games are not season-defining for Leeds, but it is the manner of the defeats. Look at the way they lost at Man City, at Liverpool, today against Spurs. It is how bad they are defending, how many goals they are conceding, it is their lack of quality in attack. These teams are picking Leeds off easily.

Tottenham were very good today; it was the team that won at City. They created space, it wasn't difficult, but they still had to exploit it. The interaction between Kane and Son [was great], Kulusevski looks like a great addition. There is hope for Spurs.

  19. 'Result is fair'published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2022

    FT: Leeds 0-4 Tottenham

    Leeds United

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa speaking to BT Sport: "I think the result is fair. We could have reduced the differences but we were never able to dominate the game.

"Even if we created goalscoring chances we never had a feeling of dominance over the opponent.

On current form: "There are conclusions that the reality invites you to make. But there is also another way of looking at things.

"Were you at the game? To put a more difficult team out to beat fundamentally you have to use certain players on the pitch that are more defensive. That is what we tried to do in the first half but it didn't give us the results I was looking for.

"In the two ways we faced the game, with a more conservative profile in the first half and a more daring profile in the second - neither of the two ways gave a result."

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira says there have been no discussions about extending Conor Gallagher's stay with the Eagles but the midfielder is "really happy" in south London.

The England international struck the decisive second goal in Wednesday's 4-1 win at Watford, taking his season's Premier League tally to eight - one more than any player at his parent club Chelsea.

Asked if he wants to keep the loan signing beyond the summer, Vieira said: "We honestly didn't speak about it. We know that we will have him for the year and you never know what can happen.

"When you are looking at the way he is playing, I believe Conor is really happy in our football club. He knows how important he is for the team and the club.

"He is enjoying his game. For a player like that, what is important is to keep playing week after week because that will allow him to improve. I think we give him the support he needs for him to be on the field and to express his talent."

Wilfried Zaha's late double against Watord saw him draw level with Gallagher as Palace's joint-top goal-scorer this season, with three of those coming since his return from the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this month.

"The challenge for Wilfried and for the team is to be consistent with that kind of performance," Vieira added. "There is no doubt about the quality and what he can do.

"At Palace, Wilfried is at home and he has been really good for this football club and I strongly believe he still has a lot to give."
