Brentford manager Thomas Frank says Christian Eriksen will make his return to action today eight months after suffering a cardiac arrest playing for Denmark in the Euro 2020 game against Finland.

It promises to be an emotionally-charged moment and Eriksen, speaking to the Brentford match day programme, says: "I remember it all. Except those minutes when I was in heaven."

Into the final 10 minutes at Elland Road, and you have to feel Stuart Dallas needed to score that huge chance if Leeds were going to have any hope of getting back into this one.

Christian Eriksen is named on the bench for Brentford, his first involvement in a matchday squad since suffering a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 eight months ago for Denmark.

Top scorer Ivan Toney is also on the bench after three games out with a calf injury.

The Bees make just one from the defeat by Arsenal with Vitaly Janelt replacing Sergi Canos.

Allan Saint-Maximin again misses out for Newcastle with a calf problem.

The Magpies are unchanged from the side who drew 1-1 with West Ham, with Ryan Fraser recovering in time from a muscle injury.

Jeremy Ngakia comes in for Kiko Femenia, who is not even named among the substitutes. Joao Pedro and Juraj Kucka are named on the bench.

Joshua King starts despite exacerbating a back problem during that defeat by Palace.

Spurs are picking Leeds apart at will and they seem to have the opportunity to go forward when they feel like it. Kulusevski strikes a low ball to Meslier's left, he makes a great save round the corner. But he's having to do that far too often.
