Sheffield United also come to the John Smith's Stadium in excellent form, on a run of five unbeaten - with four straight wins and just one goal conceded in that time.

The upturn in form since the arrival of Paul Heckingbottom as boss, along with Stuart McCall and Jack Lester has been remarkable, with just two defeats since.

It has pushed the Blades into reckoning for promotion, and today is a chance to test themselves against a fellow challenger.

"They're 13 games undefeated, and have three clean sheets in a row, so we know the task there," McCall told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"We're always aware of opponents, we do our analysis on that naturally, but the key is how we're going to approach it, what we're going to do and focus on ourselves.

"We know their strengths and respect them, but for us when we go out on the park it's about one team and what we do."

Huddersfield Town have proved one of the surprise packages in the Championship this season under Carlos Corberan, and their 13-game unbeaten streak is testament to that.

The Terriers' smart, possession-based style is brought to life by the flair of Sorba Thomas, the industry of players like Harry Toffolo and the perseverance of Danny Ward up top.

Corberan is quick to pay tribute though to today's opponents, whom arrive at the John Smith's Stadium on the back of four straight wins.

"They are one of the strongest teams in the competition, and one we always have the highest level of respect for," Corberan told BBC Radio Leeds.

"We know the level they have, and we want to focus on what we have to do to counter their strengths on the pitch and reduce any type of weakness.

"The target we have against any opponent is to go for the three points."

We've got a near full programme of fixtures to bring you this afternoon, but it all starts in West Yorkshire for the lunchtime game.

Yorkshire folk can be brought together by a few things: expressing superiority over Lancashire, county cricket, appreciation of the TV series 'Sharpe', a good cup of tea, a good pint, Seabrook crisps.

However, they're still fiercely proud of their own little individual parts of the county - and today's opener between Huddersfield Town and Sheffield United is no exception.

Of course, there are some days where you can't be there. Work, life, lack of cash, can't get a ticket.

It's where we come in, sort of.

It might not be quite the same as bring there but we'll do our best to make you feel at home and keep you up to date.

Welcome to Saturday's EFL live text.

Alarm clock tones drill into sleep, followed by the rub of bleary eyes and suddenly the realisation is there. It's Saturday.

Up, washed, dressed, coat on, scarf grabbed off the hook. Tickets, money, keys all tipped into pockets and it's out the door.

Off to the station, the bus stop, the coach for the long-haulers. Anxiously waiting for that lift on the corner.

Few things perk the senses like matchday. The sight of the floodlights, the burger vans, sidestepping the 'debris' from the police horses, the first pint or pop, the first sight of the pitch.

It's a day that can be capped off by that last minute winner, or ruined within minutes by an early goal conceded. But you'll be back, regardless.
