  1. goal

GOAL: Hull 0-2 Barnsleypublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Carlton Morris (45 mins)

    My word.

The Championship's bottom side have a second through Carlton Morris' fierce shot.

This is the first time they've scored twice in an away game since August.

    Middlesbrough 0-1 West Brom

West Brom defender Kyle Bartley is unhappy after Aaron Connolly catches him with a swinging arm as they challenge for a high ball.

Bartley is about a foot taller than Connolly so maybe just as well they're quickly separated.

    Hull 0-1 Barnsley

Here's something I've not said much this season, Barnsley are in the mood tonight.

Amine Bassi is the latest to test Hull's teenage goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright.

Even a win wont move the Tykes off the foot of the table but it will give them at least a glimmer of hope.

  4. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Reading 0-0 Birmingham City

A bit more like it for Birmingham.

Lyle Taylor finds the ball played up to him quickly and he decides to take his shot early.

On target, but Karl Hein in the Reading goal gets down well to his left to make the stop.

  5. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Middlesbrough 0-1 West Brom

Think former Middlesbrough man Adam Reach is probably going to be watching the second half.

He's booked for a poor challenge and then just a minute or so later stands on Paddy McNair's foot as the defender looks to get on the ball 30 yards out.

The ex-Manchester United man wants Reach to be shown another yellow but the referee is unmoved.

It was an ill-advised challenge I'd say.

  6. Postpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Reading 0-0 Birmingham City

Still not fully come to life this one midway through the first half.

Juninho Bacuna sees a shot from just outside the area for the visitors deflected wide for a corner but Blues fail to make the most of the set piece.

  7. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Middlesbrough 0-1 West Brom

Where's Boro goalkeeper Joe Lumley off to?

The keeper races off his line and out of his area to try and challenge Karlan Grant down the West Brom left.

Grant gets by his challenge but, with nobody home, can't get a shot or cross away thanks to some good defending from Anfernee Dijksteel.

  8. Postpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Preston 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Chances at both ends at Deepdale but still no goals.

Both these teams have play-off aspirations.

  9. League Two updatepublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

There's been a big goal at JobServe Community Stadium with Noah Chilvers breaking the deadlock for Colchester against Hartlepool.

  10. Postpublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Middlesbrough 0-1 West Brom

One Irish Brighton loanee fouls another.

West Brom goalscorer Jayson Molumby is booked for pulling Aaron Connolly to the floor as the forward looks to break at goal.

The free-kick comes to nothing as the referee spots an infringement, though I'm not quite sure what.

  11. League One updatepublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    #bbcefl

Huge goal at the top of League One with Sullay Kaikai scoring a beauty from the edge of the area for Wycombe against second-placed Wigan.

Elsewhere Denver Hume has equalised for Portsmouth at Shrewsbury, and things have gone from bad to worse for The Shrews as they've been reduced to ten men, with Josh Vela seeing red.

  12. Postpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Bristol City 0-1 Coventry City

Coventry nearly double the lead within three minutes through Viktor Gyokeres.

A ball over the top releases him but from a tight angle, his shot goes wide.

  13. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Reading 0-0 Birmingham City

15 minutes gone in the later kick-off, but not too much in terms of goalmouth incident at either end so far.

John Swift seeing a lot of the ball for Reading trying to link up with Lucas Joao and Tom Ince up top.

  14. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 0-1 West Brompublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Jayson Molumby (28 mins)

WEST BROM HAVE THEIR FIRST GOAL IN A MONTH!

It's... not a classic as such.

Andy Carroll gets in down their left and looks to cut it back.

It's half-cleared by a Boro defender but Jayson Molumby is on hand to squeeze a shot in at the near post via a deflection.

    They all count.

    Callum Styles (27 mins)

    Well now.

The division's bottom side take the lead.

Midfielder Callum Styles with the strike from a Carlton Morris cross.

  16. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 0-1 Coventry Citypublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Ian Maatsen (25 mins)

The visitors take the lead at Ashton Gate.

Ian Maatsen puts the Sky Blues ahead as he gets on the end of Gustavo Hamer's ball into the area before firing across the goal into the bottom corner past Dan Bentley.

  17. Postpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Preston 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Aston Villa loanee Cameron Archer has been in great form since joining Preston on loan last month.

He's looking lively tonight as he targets a fifth goal in just his sixth start.

  18. Play suspended at Stadium of Lightpublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Sunderland 0-0 Burton

The game at the Stadium of Light between Sunderland and Burton has been suspended due to a medical emergency in the crowd, with the players having been taken off the pitch for the time being.

  19. Postpublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Middlesbrough 0-0 West Brom

Pace has rather dropped in this one after a fast start by both teams.

West Brom are certainly looking to pass the ball about more than under Valerien Ismael but they're struggling to really threaten.

  20. Postpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2022

    Reading 0-0 Birmingham City

Almost the perfect scripted opening to Paul Ince's time as interim Reading boss.

A lovely darting run by Lucas Joao nearly plays Tom Ince in to finish in the area but it's just inches away from his stride.
