Barnsley are almost drinking in the last-chance saloon and there's still a week left in February.

Reading's win at Preston coupled with the Tykes late defeat by Coventry on Saturday saw them drift nine points away from safety.

Anything but three points at Hull this evening will do you feel.

Reading on the other hand can continue to build momentum with another win this evening against Birmingham City with the added sub-plot of Paul Ince taking charge of the Royals for the first time.

Derby and Peterborough are both in action on Wednesday.

Big chances for both Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest this evening to try and gate-crash the play-off places.

Just outside the picture but also in action tonight are Coventry, West Brom and Preston in 10th to 12th respectively and separated by just two points.
