You're coming into the period where it's all about the hunger, desire and ugliness of the game.

That's a magnificent victory for Blackburn, against a QPR team that are challenging alongside them.

Blackburn end their winless run and goal drought as Reda Khadra's curling free-kick gives them victory against QPR.

That lifts them above the Rs and back into third position in the Championship table.

Blackburn are about three minutes away from ending a run of five Championship games without a win, here.

This will be quite the response if they see it out.

Blackburn goalscorer Reda Khadra is called in to clear away a QPR corner.

Andre Gray almost gets a leveller for QPR but he can't tap in from close range before Thomas Kaminski scoops up the ball.

Just looking at that Reda Khadra goal, that is an immense finish.

He puts a great deal of pace on it and smashes it home from a really tight angle.

Should David Marshall have had that covered? Possibly. But take nothing away from Khadra, that's a corker of a goal.

When you're taking a free-kick like that you've got to hit the target, that's all you can ask. That's what Reda Khadra's done.

You think he might've got subbed but he's the one who's been getting the opportunities.

He's just played it into an area, but it's such a great cross that if everybody misses it it's going into the back of the net.

Ryan Giles looks dangerous every time he's near the ball for Blackburn and he does well to find a chance on goal after some good work from Reda Khadra in the QPR half in the build-up.

Giles puts a cross in which forces a save at the near post from David Marshall and Blackburn win another corner.

QPR win the ball and go on the attack in the Blackburn box but, after a succession of deliveries, they can't quite get a chance on goal.

Neither side can get a decent shot in at the minute.

Is this destined to end goalless?

Harry Pickering comes off for Blackburn with Wolves loanee Ryan Giles coming on for the hosts.

It's two teams that are defensively organised - you're seeing both teams create chances, but there's no-one prolific there that you think 'they'll score'.

There's a definite tense feeling in the air and we could be in for a thrilling finale here.
