Ntcham makes an impact straight away! He makes himself the hero, it's what we've been crying out for the entire game.

A lovely run, lovely pass to Joel Piroe and that's the real quality we were after. Maybe it was a good substitution after all!

    Joel Piroe

Swansea take the lead as they finally produce a moment of attacking quality.

Substitute Olivier Ntcham drives up the left and gets away from a Quevin Castro's weak challenge.

He goes outside Semi Ajayi and pulls back for Joel Piroe, whose first-time effort goes through Sam Johnstone's legs.

I am very surprised to see Jamie Paterson going off. I can't see the thinking behind that at all.

Hannes Wolf has been poor tonight. He's given the ball away too easily and hasn't made any effort to get it back, and that's unacceptable.

What a chance! It's a great ball in to Obafemi from Ryan Manning, he just lacked that bit of conviction with the header, wasn't coming on to it enough.

But much better quality, they're just starting to peg West Brom back now.

There are 0-0 draws - and there are 0-0 draws.

We all saw a 0-0 classic at Wembley yesterday but this one so far in West Bromwich is woeful by comparison.

The only thing that has really made it entertaining has been the singing from the Welsh (largely) male voice choir - everything from the national anthem to a bit of Max Boyce, with a few other more questionable, less repeatable little ditties sandwiched in between.

By comparison, the Baggies fans have been quiet, but the arrival of striking young midfielder Quevin Castro from the bench has at last stirred them. Is he the man to spark a reaction?

And as we say that, Swansea carve their best opening yet,

Ryan Manning's cross finds the unmarked Michael Obafemi but he heads wastefully over.

    Swansea threaten.

Hannes Wolf sends a decent ball into the box but Michael Obafemi's effort is poor and it ricochets wide.

Swansea have got themselves into some promising positions in the second half, but their quality around the box has not been good enough.
