It has been a tough two or three months for West Bromwich Albion fans to endure as they've witnessed a once promising season slowly start to evaporate in front of their very eyes.

And, even on a wet night in the Black Country, to see the ground so comparatively empty and hear it so quiet sums up the current mood of disaffection.

But there were apparently some harsh home truths spoken in the away dressing room following last week's defeat at Middlesbrough - and not just by boss Steve Bruce - and they look to have had a positive effect.

Callum Robinson's header against the base of the post and a few lovely touches from Grady Diangana are positive steps in the right direction for the hosts. Flashes in the pan? Or genuine signs that they might be ready to relight the blue touch paper?

The home crowd are urging their team to get forward.

West Brom, like Swansea, are labouring a little when on the attack - although Grady Diangana has looked bright.

This time his cross is dealt with, but Diangan looks a threat.

But not for the first time this season, Flynn Downes saves Swansea with a crucial challenge.

Swansea wingback latest - Cyrus Christie has now swapped with Hannes Wolf.

Christie is definitely happier on the right, while Wolf is a forward player but he is at least playing down his favoured left flank.

That's the biggest moment of the game so far. It's a great ball into the box from the right-hand side and Robinson does very well to get on the end of it.

Fortunate for Swansea but that'll give West Brom some more confidence.

West Brom come within a couple of inches of taking the lead.

A decent ball from Grady Diangana sends Dara O'Shea racing down the right.

His cross is perfect for Callum Robinson, who rises unmarked but heads the ball on to the far post.

Both teams are still looking like they're trying to suss each other out. Swansea have been reluctant to attack, West Brom have been poor when they have had possession.
