He's replaced by another 20-year-old, defender Eiran Cashin.

They've been down to 10 men for an hour now, Derby, but Sibley has had the best two chances of the game.

What a let-off for Huddersfield.

Louie Sibley capitalises on a mix-up at the back to close in on goal but takes a heavy touch with only keeper Lee Nicholls to beat and the Huddersfield stopper slides in to collect the ball.

Sibley has his head in his hands, he knows what a big opening that was.

There's also a change at Oakwell.

Twenty-year-old forward Isaak Davies comes on for Cardiff, in place of the ineffectual Max Watters.

The Bluebirds look to counter but Barnsley defender Mads Juel Andersen hold them up and is yellow-carded.

Carlos Corberan brings off Ollie Turton, with Pipa joining the fray.

Both teams made subs at the break too by the way - deadline-day signing Carel Eiting on for Matty Pearson for Huddersfield, while Derby replaced striker Luke Plange with defender Krystian Bielik.

I wish there was more to report from Oakwell.

Barnsley are having most of the ball, but aren't doing much with it.

Cardiff are going more direct, but Max Watters and Jordan Hugill are struggling to make the ball stick in attack.

Derby's makeshift back-line are defending balls into their box heroically.

Lee Buchanan, partnering Curtis Davies at centre-half after Richard Stearman's red card, bullets a centre clear with his head.

And then another moments later. He's fouled in the process. Keeper Ryan Allsop won't be rushing to take the free-kick.

Delightful touch from Festy Ebosele to bring down a ball out of the sky - but his pass to Derby skipper Tom Lawrence is not so assured, sadly.

Nonetheless, the Rams have started the second half the brighter of the two teams despite Richard Stearman's third-minute dismissal.

Positive start to the second half from 10-man Derby as they win back-to-back corners - but both come to nothing.

Huddersfield and Derby are two clubs that enjoyed contrasting transfer deadline days on Monday.

The Terriers re-signed former midfielder Carel Eiting to boost their ranks and brought in keeper Jamal Blackman as well as Chelsea midfielder Tino Anjorin, on loan, although the latter is currently injured.

Derby, unable to sign players during January due to an EFL transfer embargo, lost striker Luke Plange to Crystal Palace - although he will remain on loan at Pride Park for the rest of the season.

That added to a lengthy list of January departures, with Wayne Rooney bemoaning the vultures that have circled.

Right then, a bit of half-time reading for you.

We've alluded to Derby's plight and 21-point deduction a few times this evening - but what's it all about?

Well, the club remains in financial peril and is in danger of folding unless new owners are found by the Rams' administrators.

Fair to say bottom of the table Barnsley have edged things so far.

They'll be disappointed not to have a goal for their efforts, while 20th-placed Cardiff don't seem to have taken Sunday's improved performance into this game.
